Trent Barstow, Norwayne baseball
Struck out eight over four innings and had two hits and five RBIs at the plate as Norwayne routed Chippewa 18-0.
Tyne Braatz, Westlake softball
Recorded three RBIs in a 5-3 win vs. North Olmsted and had three more RBIs and a home run in a 14-4 win over Rocky River.
Annika Bredel, Elyria Catholic softball
Hit five home runs in the Panthers’ first 11 games and broke the Lorain County record against Perry with her 35th career homer. She also tripled in the game.
Mana Bublick, St. Francis de Sales baseball
Went 4-for-4, recording a double and three RBIs as the Knights defeated Central Catholic 11-4.
Tyler Love, Teays Valley baseball
Hit a walk-off double in the bottom of the eighth to beat Liberty Union 4-3, giving the Lions their first loss of the season.
Tai Malone, Mentor boys track and field
Led the Cardinals to a high jump relay title as he cleared an area-best 6 feet, 5 inches.
Ryan Miklich, St. Edward baseball
Had a two-run single, a run and a stolen base in an 8-1 win over Moeller.
Megan Mlinaric, Gilmour Academy softball
The Capital University commit struck out 11 and hit a two-run homer, walked twice and had an RBI sacrifice fly as the Lancers defeated Kirtland 12-6.
Ryan Pattison, University baseball
Led the offense with two hits, five RBIs and a stolen base as the Preppers defeated Beloit 8-4.
Parth Patel, Olentangy Orange tennis
The senior is unbeaten (8-0) and has not lost a set at No. 1 singles this season. He helped the Pioneers to a second consecutive OCC-Central title.
Murphy Peter, Norwood baseball
Threw a no-hitter in a 4-3 win against Goshen on Tuesday and then hit a two-run home run in Norwood's 11-0 win over Hughes on Thursday.
Amelia Smith, Olentangy girls track and field
Set personal records in winning the 100 meters (12.80 seconds) and 400 meters (58.99) at the Olentangy Invitational. She also won the long jump (16 feet, 10 inches) and helped the 1,600-meter relay team (4:13.10) finish second.
Natalie Susa, Walsh Jesuit softball
Finished with 13 strikeouts to lead the attack against defending Division II state champions Keystone 10-3. At the plate, she drove in two runs.
Carter Wachtel, Triway softball
Threw a 15-strikeout game for her third no-hitter of the season as the Titans defeated Tuslaw 1-0 to improve to 15-0 this season.
Abigail Weiss, Big Walnut softball
Allowed five hits in seven innings in the circle and went 3-for-3 at the plate to lead the Eagles to a 3-2 win over Dublin Scioto.
