Four baseball state champions were crowned earlier this month in Akron, with Sylvania Northview, Chardon, Waynedale and Russia all taking home the top prize in their respective divisions.

SBLive Ohio covered games all over the state in 2022, including the Division I, Division II, Division III and Division IV state championship games.

Now it's time to hand out some individual awards.

Here's a look at our Player of the Year, Pitcher of the Year and all-state teams spanning all OHSAA classifications.

Player of the Year – Landon Price, Lincolnview

The Ohio State University signee had yet another great season for the Lancers, both on the mound and at the plate.

In 13 starts on the hill, he went 9-1 and had an ERA of 1.25 while striking out 144 hitters in 64.2 innings pitched. He took a no-hitter into the seventh inning of the regional final against Antwerp. He finished his career with a record of 24-1 and 365 strikeouts.

At the plate, he hit over .450 with 15 extra-base hits. In the last three games of the season, he hit .667 which included three hits in the state semifinals and a pair of hits in the state championship game.

Pitcher of the Year - Jacob Miller, Liberty Union

The senior finished the season 9-1 with an ERA of 0.63 and struck out 133 hitters in just 57.1 innings pitched. In three postseason games that helped lead Liberty Union to the state semifinals, he allowed just three hits and struck out 46 batters. That included a no-hitter in the district finals where he struck out 14 and a one-hitter in the regional semifinals in which he struck out 15 hitters and allowed an unearned run, his only run given up in the postseason until the state semifinals. He made 27 starts in his high school career and struck out 382 hitters in 171.1 innings. He is the top-ranked MLB Draft prospect in the state of Ohio and is a University of Louisville commit.
