Rocco Alfieri, Kirtland

In the fourth quarter against Lakeside, the  running back took a handoff, broke several tackles and even avoided an official on his way to paydirt.

Jacob Asbeck, Lakota West

With the Firebirds leading Fairfield 38-31 in double overtime, the junior safety got to the quarterback for a strip sack that ended the game and kept Lakota West unbeaten.

Xavier Balson and Collin Willard, North Olmsted

In the first minute of the fourth quarter against Elyria Catholic, Balson laid up a pass where only Willard could get it in the endzone. The wide receiver went up, caught the ball, and then tapped his toes in for the touchdown.

Ashton Martin and Dylan Barger, Bellevue

In their game against Columbian Tiffin, made a perfect pass of the head of the defender that Barger went up and snagged for a touchdown as he was backpedaling.

Jermaine Mathews. Jr, Winton Woods

The Ohio State University commit was up to his old tricks Friday night, as he intercepted a pass against Milford and took it 92 yards to the house for a touchdown. It was the senior’s third pick-6 of the season.

Davian Pritchard, Austintown-Fitch

With the Falcons leading 42-35 in the fourth overtime against Wadsworth, Pritchard stepped in front of a wide receiver in the endzone and intercepted a pass to end the game.

Bryce Schondelmyer and Anthony Brown, Springfield

In the third quarter against Springfield, Brown sprinted down the right sideline, where Schondelmyer saw him and delivered a perfect pass. The University of Kentucky commit did the rest, as he turned on the afterburners for an 80-yard touchdown.

Ben Schoster and Ben Collins, Elder

In the second quarter against Roncalli (Indiana), Schoster avoids trouble, rolls to his right and then looks all the way back to the left where he hit Collins in the endzone for a touchdown. (Play is at 1:39 in the video)

Lamar Sperling, Archbishop Hoban

The senior running back scored three times in the Akron Holy War, with all three being worthy of this list. But on his last carry of the night, he made multiple defenders miss at the line of scrimmage – including one who dove at him – and then juked another defender at the 20 on his way to a 35-yard score.

Tommy Stines, Archbishop Moeller

Late in the fourth quarter against St. Ignatius, the Crusaders were forced to punt leading 18-10. Stines tracked the punt as it bounced and saved it from going into the endzone. Moeller downed it at the 1-yard-line and forced an interception on the drive.
