If you like overtime football, Ohio had plenty of that this week. The regional and division favorites solidified their statuses across the state while small schools keep popping their head into the SBLive Top 25 with a Division V school debut this week. Only two more weeks of regular season football then it's six weeks of playoffs!

1. Lakota West, West Chester (8-0) Last Week: 1

The Firebirds came out flat in the first quarter at Fairfield on Friday. However, Lakota West chipped away and pulled ahead in the fourth on a Mitch Bolden touchdown run. The game needed double overtime to settle things, won on Bolden's fourth touchdown run of the night and a clutch stop by the defense. The Firebirds head to Middletown this Friday.

2. Archbishop Moeller, Cincinnati (8-0) Last Week: 2

No question that the defense won this game for Moeller on Saturday. Despite allowing 270 yards of offense, the Crusaders' defense came away with four interceptions including two by Matthew Seliga. Linebacker Joe Ginnetti camped out in the St. Ignatius backfield with 10 tackles, 2.5 for loss. Moeller came away with a 25-10 win as they get ready for No. 6 St. Edward on Saturday.

3. Archbishop Hoban, Akron (8-0) Last Week: 3

Lamar Sperling had an off night by Lamar Sperling standards. The best running back in the state was held to only 219 yards and only three touchdowns in the Knights' 28-14 win over rival St. Vincent-St. Mary. Hoban is back on the road on Friday at winless Benedictine.

4. Princeton, Cincinnati (7-1) Last Week: 4

The Vikings dominated both sides of the ball in a 42-14 win over Middletown. RJ West was 15-for-15 with 152 passing yards, 86 yards on the ground to go with three touchdowns. Princeton heads to Sycamore this Friday.

5. Massillon (7-1) Last Week: 5

It was all Tigers in the team's 42-7 win over Canisius (New York) on Friday. Massillon only had five minutes of possession in the first half, but that didn't prevent them from taking a 28-0 lead into halftime. Willtrell Hartson only tallied eight carries, but also gained 101 yards and scored two touchdowns on the ground as well as a 13-yard touchdown catch in the second quarter. Massillon is off in Week 9.

6. St. Edward, Lakewood (7-1) Last Week: 6

The Eagles picked up a third straight win as they take down Football North (Ontario), 35-18. St. Edward has the toughest schedule in the state the rest of the way with No. 2 Moeller on the road this Saturday followed by No. 3 Hoban at home in Week 10.

7. Toledo Central Catholic (7-1) Last Week: 7

TCC's blowout of Whitmer ended early after gunshots were fired outside the stadium, resulting in three victims with non-life threatening injuries including one Whitmer student. TCC won 46-16 and hosts Fremont Ross on Friday.

8. Avon (7-1) Last Week: 8

Sam DeTillio threw five touchdown passes in the Eagles' 35-7 win over Berea-Midpark. Avon heads to Midview this Friday night.

9. Medina (7-1) Last Week: 9

The Bees suffered their second-worst offensive performance of the season in a 42-21 win over Brunswick. Yes, that's how good this offense is. Medina travels to Lorain on Friday.

10. Springfield (6-1) Last Week: 15

That loss to Fairmont must have woken up a sleeping giant. The Wildcats have been the best team in the Dayton area these past two weeks with blowout wins over Springboro and now, at Centerville. Bryce Schondelmyer threw for 345 yards while Jayvin Norman ran for 114 yards and two touchdowns in a 38-10 win over Centerville. Springfield hosts Miamisburg this Friday.

11. Riverside, Painesville (7-1) Last Week: 10

Martinsburg (West Virginia) took a 35-17 lead into the locker rooms. The Beavers cut that deficit to 35-30 in the third. Then, on 4th-and-goal late in the fourth, Mikey Maloney scrambled to the pylon for the go-ahead and eventual game-winning touchdown. Riverside escaped with a 36-35 win. The Beavers host Kenston on Friday.

12. Highland, Medina (8-0) Last Week: 11

The Hornets steamrolled Cuyahoga Falls, 70-7 on the road on Friday night. Highland will face their biggest challenge of the season at Aurora on Friday night.

13. Elder, Cincinnati (6-2) Last Week: 12

The Panthers handed Roncalli (Indiana) their first loss of the season in dramatic fashion, 24-23. Jumping out to a 17-0 lead, it looked to be all Elder. However, Roncalli clawed back, taking the lead late in the third, 23-17. But an early fourth quarter drive would seal the comeback win for the Panthers, capped by a Luke Flowers touchdown run. The Panthers host Indianapolis Bishop Chatard (Indiana) on Friday.

14. Winton Woods, Cincinnati (8-0) Last Week: 13

In their final major test of the season, the Warriors used a strong third quarter to pull away from Milford, 28-14. Winton Woods forced four interceptions on the night, while Tra'mar Harris hauled in everything thrown his way in a seven-catch, 92-yard, two-touchdown effort. Winton Woods hosts Loveland on Friday.

15. Fairfield (6-2) Last Week: 14

Absolute heartbreaker for the Indians. Fairfield jumped out to a 10-0 lead in the first against No. 1 Lakota West. Ki'Arran Love would catch a game-tying touchdown with seconds left in regulation to send it to overtime. But ultimately, the Indians would fall in double overtime, 38-31. Fairfield heads to Mason on Friday.

16. Walsh Jesuit, Cuyahoga Falls (6-2) Last Week: 16

Justin Bremner ran all over Lake Catholic. The senior tallied up 180 yards and four touchdowns in the Warriors' 42-10 blowout win on Friday night. Walsh Jesuit hosts Padua Franciscan this coming Friday.

17. Hudson (8-0) Last Week: 18

Staying in Division II, Region 5, Hudson remains perfect with a 42-26 win over North Royalton. The Explorers should have no issues going 10-0 in the regular season for the first time since 2014. Hudson heads to Brunswick on Friday.

18. West Holmes, Millersburg (8-0) Last Week: 20

Week after week, the Knights solidify their spot at the favorite to win the Division IV state championship. This week, it was a one-sided shootout with Ashland, 63-39. This was the best offensive performance by West Holmes since a 63-0 win over Madison Comprehensive in September 2020. The Knights host New Philadelphia on Friday.

19. Austintown-Fitch (7-1) Last Week: 24

A quadruple overtime thriller in Wadsworth saw every fan get their money's worth on Friday night. DeShawn Vaughn Jr. tied it up in the fourth, 21-21, with his third touchdown of the day. Both teams scored touchdowns in the first OT, both defenses held strong in the second OT, and both offenses prevailed again in the third OT. But a D.J. Williams 14-yard touchdown run saw Fitch prevail in an instant classic, 42-35 after Davian Pritchard intercepted a pass in the endzone.

20. Marion Local, Maria Stein (8-0) Last Week: 22

Two straight shutouts for the Flyers as they rolled all over Anna, 48-0. Marion Local hosts cross county rival St. Henry this Friday.

21. Kings, Kings Mills (7-1) Last Week: 21

Will Kocher was the story of the night for the Knights in their 14-10 win over Lebanon. The dual-threat quarterback was contained by a strong Lebanon line, but made plenty of plays with his arm, going 20-of-31 with 269 yards and two touchdowns. The Knights host Little Miami on Friday.

22. Chardon (6-1) Last Week: NR

The Hilltoppers return to the Top 25 on the backs of a 55-0 win over Madison this past Friday. Madison is the Hilltoppers' only opponent who does not currently have a winning record. Chardon hosts Willoughby South on Friday.

23. Avon Lake (7-1) Last Week: 19

Nobody saw this being a nailbiter! With 21 seconds left, Elyria scores to make it 14-13. Coach Devlin Culliver decides to go for two and the upset. A Lance Glover scramble to the endzone on the ensuing two-point conversion was negated by a holding penalty, pushing Elyria back where they failed on the second try. After surviving Elyria, the Shoremen host Olmsted Falls on Friday.

24. South Range, Canfield (8-0) Last Week: NR

The small schools keep popping up in the SBLive Top 25 with a Division V school making their debut. South Range is at 28 straight regular season wins after a 42-7 win over Jefferson Area. With Versailles dropping to Division VI, the Raiders are the favorites to win the Division V state championship this year. They will try to make it 29 straight against Lakeview on Friday.

25. Ursuline, Youngstown (6-2) Last Week: NR

After a pair of nail biters, the Fighting Irish ran away with a 40-0 blowout of Villa Angela-St. Joseph. VASJ came into the contest at 6-1 with the lone loss to undefeated Badin. However, Ursuline shutdown the Vikings' offense in a running clock summoning rout. Ursuline hosts Youngstown East on Friday.
