St. Edward, Lakota West and Archbishop Hoban all roll: How the SBLive Ohio Top 25 fared

The top teams in the state didn't have much trouble Friday night

As expected, the Top 25 teams didn't have much issue in the first round of the OHSAA playoffs, with all 25 winning, most by double digits.

How the SBLive Ohio Top 25 fared:

1. St. Edward, Lakewood (10-1) Last Week: 3

The Eagles cruised though the first round of the Division I playoffs with a 49-6 win over Stow-Munroe Falls.

2. Lakota West, West Chester (11-0) Last week: 1

The Firebirds took care of Lebanon 43-0 in the first round of the Division I playoffs.

3. Archbishop Hoban, Akron (10-1) Last Week: 2

The Knights opened up Division II playoff action with a 57-14 win over Willoughby South.

4. Archbishop Moeller, Cincinnati (10-1) Last Week: 4

The top seed in Division I, Region 4, the Crusaders easily handled Hamilton 39-14 in the first round.

5. Massillon (9-1) Last Week: 6

The Tigers began the Division II, Region 7 playoffs with a 48-7 win over crosstown rival Massillon Perry in the first round.

6. Toledo Central Catholic (10-1) Last Week: 7

The Fighting Irish won their 10th game in a row with a 69-7 victory over Ashland to open the Division II, Region 6 playoffs.

7. Avon (10-1) Last Week: 8

The Eagles quickly dispatched Westlake 49-0.

8. Medina (10-1) Last Week: 9

The Bees took down conference rival Strongsville 42-7.

9. Springfield (9-1) Last Week: 10

The Wildcats defeated Olentangy Orange 35-7 to open Division I, Region 2 playoff action.

10. Princeton, Cincinnati (9-2) Last Week: 5

The Vikings bounced back from a Week 10 loss with a 43-6 win over West Clermont to start the postseason.

11 Highland, Medina (11-0) Last Week: 12

Highland rolled with to a 49-14 win over Oregon Clay.

12. Riverside, Painesville (10-1) Last Week: 11

The Beavers have won 10 games for the first time in program history with a 63-6 win over Lakeside.

13. Elder, Cincinnati (9-2) Last Week: 13

Elder had no problems in the first round, taking care of Middletown 42-7

14. Winton Woods, Cincinnati (11-0) Last Week: 14

The defending Division II state champions opened their title defense in the postseason with a 35-13 win over La Salle.

15. Walsh Jesuit, Cuyahoga Falls (9-2) Last Week: 15

The Warriors defeated Maple Heights 56-20 to open their playoff run in Division II, Region 5.

16. Austintown-Fitch (10-1) Last Week: 18

The Falcons took down Mayfield 56-34 to open the Division II, Region 5 playoffs.

17. Hudson (11-0) Last Week: 16

Staying in Division II, Region 5, the Explorers got past Solon 31-0 in the first round.

18. West Holmes, Millersburg (11-0) Last Week: 17

No issues for the Knights in round one, as they beat Shelby 49-7.

19. Marion Local, Maria Stein (11-0) Last Week: 19

The Flyers just keep rolling, this time with a 45-0 win over Anna in the first round of the Division VI, Region 24 playoffs .

20. Kings, Kings Mills (10-1) Last Week: 20

The Knights easily took care of Sidney 56-0.

21. Chardon (9-1) Last Week: 21

The two-time defending Division III champions began this playoff run with a 42-15 win over Akron East.

22. South Range, Canfield (11-0) Last Week: 22

The Raiders remain unbeaten after a 35-6 win over Youngstown Liberty to open the Division V, Region 17 playoffs.

23. Gahanna Lincoln (10-1) Last Week: 25

The Lions didn't face much of a challenge int he first round of the Division I, Region 3 playoffs, defeating Lancaster 49-8.

24. Mason (9-2) Last Week: NR

The Comets opened the playoffs with a 14-7 win over Colerain.

25. Ursuline, Youngstown (9-2) Last Week: 23

The Fighting Irish began their Division III playoff run with a 43-16 win over Hawken in the first round.
