There were plenty of great plays in the first week of high school football’s playoffs in Ohio. Read through the nominees and cast your vote. Voting will conclude Sunday, November 6 at 11:59 p.m.

Tymir Cardona, Kenston
In a 40-33 win over University School, Cardona grabbed an interception in the end zone with one hand before bringing it into his body to seal the win.
Wylie Cheairs, Akron Buchtel
He took the handoff and bounced out to his left where he stiff-armed a defender to the ground. Then he cut back right to make a defender miss before breaking an ankle tackle at the 10. At the 6-yard-line, he bounced off a defender with a. spin move and then was into the endzone. Buchtel beat Woodridge 24-21
Jeremy Dzik and Keegan Rudduck, Avon Lake
In the second quarter of Avon Lake’s 26-0 win over Sylvania Southview, Dzik threw a perfect pass and Ruddock battled a defender to haul it in for a touchdown.
Luke Fischer and Aaron Keating, Wadsworth
In the third quarter of Wadsworth’s 44-13 win over Elyria, Keating threw the ball over the outstretched arm of the defensive back to Keating, who caught it an took it into the endzone for a 50-yard score.
Eudes Gonzales, Jr., Lakota West
In the third quarter of Lakota West’s win over Lebanon, the running back went through a hole created by his offensive line and then carried a defender for eight yards into the endzone for a 37-yard touchdown.
Chase Herbstreit, Jamaal Sharp and Jack McClatchey, St. Xavier
In the Bombers’ win over Fairfield, Herbstreit threw down the line to Sharp, who then threw downfield to McClatchey for the St. Xavier touchdown.
Shelvon Hibbett, Mason
In the fourth quarter against Colerain, Hibbett scored a 12-yard touchdown where he had to dance around a couple defenders at first and then shook one more on his way to the endzone. It ended up being the game-winning score in a 14-7 victory.
Gunnar Hoffman, Little Miami
With Little Miami and Xenia tied in the second overtime, the freshman kicker stepped up and nailed a 32-yard walk-off field goal to send the Panthers into the second round.
Jermaine Mathews, Jr., Winton Woods
For what feels like the 100th time this season, the Ohio State commit picked off a pass and took it to the house for a touchdown. This one came in a 35-13 win over La Salle. (play at 1:20 of video)
Bryce Schondelmyer and Anthony Brown, Springfield
In their opening round win over Olentangy Orange, Schondelmyer threw out to Brown on the right sideline and his receiver did the rest, spinning off a defender and then cutting across the filed and outracing defenders to the endzone.
