Marcel Boyce Jr., Buchtel boys basketball

Scored the first seven points of the game for the Griffins and finished with a game-high 31 points to defeat Canton McKinley 75-58. Boyce Jr. also took home the Play-by-Play Classic MVP honors.

Ceylone Brooks, Upper Arlington girls basketball

Led the Golden Bears with 23 points to roll past Dublin Jerome 40-32.

Lily Cain, Hoover girls basketball

The senior hit five 3-pointers against Mentor, including the game-winner with under two minutes to play as Hoover bested Mentor 35-30.

Solomon Callaghan, Wadsworth boys basketball

In a battle against Highland, Callaghan tallied 31 points and hit 3s on four straight possessions in the second quarter. Wadsworth beat Highland 68-60.

Olivia DiFranco, Midview girls basketball

The junior knocked down four 3-pointers and finished with 28 points to rout Amherst 52-34 and earn the Middies 19th of the season — a new single-season school record.

Kevin “Fat” Hamilton, St. Vincent-St. Mary boys basketball

The senior finished with a team-high 22 points to defeat Cuyahoga Valley Christian Academy 62-52.

Bennett Hart, Fairborn boys bowling

Bowled a perfect game 300 in a match against Xenia at Bowl Ten. 

Quinn Kroneker, Avon Lake boys track and field/swimming

The dual-sport athlete had an impressive week, taking first place in the pole vault with a height of 14 feet, 6 inches at the NEOITC All Star Meet at Spire. Kroneker also qualified for the OHSAA state swim championship in the 200 free relays finishing in 1:29.08.

Megan Lesch, St. Paul girls basketball

Lesch led the Flyers with a career-high 30 points and grabbed 15 rebounds to defeat Crestline 61-29.

Brooke Lime, North Ridgeville girls basketball

Lime did it all for the Lady Rangers scoring 18 points and adding four rebounds and two steals to put away Wooster. North Ridgeville beat the Generals 60-42 to advance to the Medina district semifinals.

Marquis Lucas, Linden McKinley wrestling

In the freshman’s first wrestling tournament in a year, he defeated a Northland senior who was previously undefeated for three years to earn the 215-pound Columbus City League Championship. Lucas was voted MVP and is just the second in program history to win the City League Championship.

Kennedy Morgan, Highland girls basketball

Tallied a team-high 18 points to lead the Hornets to a 56-51 victory over Berea-Midpark.

Michael Mussari, Kings boys basketball

Scored a game-high 24 points for the Knights to earn a 72-66 victory over Little Miami.

Ava Patti, Rocky River girls basketball

Patti opened the game with the team’s first two baskets and finished with 20 points in a 48-40 sectional final win over Avon.

KJ Reynald, Gahanna Lincoln boys basketball

In a win over Pickerington North, Reynald scored the game-winning layup with 1.4 seconds on the clock. He finished with a game-high 18 points to beat the Panthers 53-51.

Addie Robillard, St. Ursula girls swimming

Robillard came away with four titles in the Division I girls meet at Miami University to help lead the Bulldogs to a championship. The freshman anchored the 400-yard freestyle relay team and was a part of the 200-yard freestyle relay which both broke school records. Individually, Robillard won the 200-yard medley and 100-yard breaststroke. The 100-yard breaststroke was won in 1:00.17 which broke the district record by more than a second.

Sydney Shocklee, Green girls basketball

The junior knocked down five 3s and scored a game-high 21 points to help lead Green to a 39-30 win over Stow.

Sammy Sulka, Chardon boys basketball

Dropped 22 points to end the Hilltoppers' regular season with a 95-77 victory over Beachwood.

Braylon Wenger, Dalton boys basketball

In a win over Norwayne to clinch a share of the WCAL title, Wenger led the way with 34 points and knocked down six 3-pointers.

Ric’Keya White, Wayne track and field

The freshman won the 60-meter dash in 7.56 and took second in the 200-meter dash in 24.89 at the Akron Rubber City HS Open.

Demaris Winters, Richmond Heights boys basketball

In a back-and-forth game against St. Edward, Winters made the last plays count blocking a three-point attempt to come down with the ball and earn the win. Winters finished with 21 points to help the Spartans win 83-80.
