Kamryn Barnes, Covington softball
Was clutch at the plate with three runs, two RBIs and a walk. as the Buccs defeated Legacy Christian 17-0.
Matti Benson, Louisville softball
The University of Maryland commit launched a walk-off two-run homer to defeat Solon 5-4 in the sectional semifinals.
Ashton Beverly, Unioto boys track and field
Led Unioto to a first-place finish at the Scioto Valley Conference meet. Beverly won the 800-meter and 1,600-meter races and combined for a win in the 4x800 relay.
Adi’Anna Bucci, Lorain softball
Drove in six runs on two hits to lead Lorain past Cleveland Heights 22-10. Bucci drove in runs on a double in the second inning and a grand slam in the fifth inning.
Evan Brandt, Bowling Green boys lacrosse
Had seven goals in a tough loss to Southview, 16-14. Brandt has 274 career goals and already has the OHSAA records for career, single-season, and single-game goal scoring.
Olivia Dumm, Westfall softball
In a 9-4 win over Fairfield, Dumm pitched a complete game, striking out 12 batters and allowing two runs. At the plate, she drove in four runs.
Ben Elliott, University baseball
Elliott scored two runs and had three RBIs in the Preppers’ 15-3 win over Berkshire. On the mound, he got the win in relief, striking out three batters over three innings.
Gabby Gradishar, Champion softball
Threw a perfect game and had a grand slam to beat Berkshire 18-0.
Greg Kennedy, Johnathan Alder baseball
In a 2-0 win over Lancaster, the junior pitched a complete game shutout and struck out eight.
Payton Krafchek, Bay girls track and field
Dominated at the Great Lakes Conference championship, winning the 100-meter hurdles (15.19, a new meet record). She placed third in long lump (16 feet, 9.25 inches) and anchored the 5th place 4×100 relay team.
Cassidy Lane, Margaretta softball
Finished 3-for-4 with a homer and three RBIs to blank Perkins 10-0.
Lucas Moore, Badin baseball
Scored four runs to lead the Rams to a 7-3 win over Lakota West.
Max Palinski, St. Ignatius baseball
Blasted a home run, had two runs and two RBIs to lift the Wildcats past Olentangy Orange 11-5.
Emma Reese, Alliance softball
Finished with three runs and two RBIs en route to an 11-5 victory over Louisville.
Maira Scott, Holland Springfield girls track and field
Swept the sprints at the Northern Lakes League championship meet for the third consecutive year. Scott also broke the meet record in the 100-meter, 200-meter and 400-meter races.
John Simecek, Walsh Jesuit baseball
Led the Warriors to an 11-1 victory over Stow, going 3-for-4 at the plate with two runs, a home run and four RBIs.
Ryan Skowronski, Westlake boys lacrosse
Came in Clutch for the Demons, scoring five goals across two games. Skowronski had a pair of goals in a 4-3 conference loss to Holy Name and had a hat-trick in a 7-3 victory over Brecksville-Broadview Heights.
Elisha Steiner, Wooster baseball
Had two hits, three runs and three RBIs to lead Wooster to a 13-2 win over Hoban in a five-inning game.
Max Wagar, Highland baseball
The senior pitched a complete game without giving up a run, striking out 10 batters and allowing one hit. The Hornets shutout Aurora 5-0.
Kiersten Wilkin, Holland Springfield softball
In the Blue Devils' four wins in the week, she was 6-for-12 at the plater with four doubles.
Mady Yackee, Holland Springfield softball
In a 13-5 win over Northview, the Toledo commit picked up her 23rd win on the mound and had six strikeouts. At the plate, she went 4-for-4 with two RBIs.
