Trey Barkman, Waynedale

In the senior’s final high school start on the mound, he twirled a three-hitter as Waynedale defeated Ottawa Hills 6-2 in the Division III state semifinals. He also drove in two runs at the plate.

Clay Burdette, Archbishop Moeller

In a 2-0 win over Walsh Jesuit in the Division I state semifinals, Burdette had the first RBI of the game with a single in the fourth inning, which ended up being the game-winner. He also had an RBI single in the 4-1 win over Olentangy Orange in the state championship game.

Cole Cahill, Olentangy Orange

The University of Toledo recruit tossed eight innings and allowed two runs on six hits and two walks while striking out three in the Division I state semifinal against Anthony Wayne. He also led off the bottom of the ninth with a triple and scored the game-winning run in the 3-2 victory.

Shane Coblentz, Waynedale

The sophomore gave Waynedale the lead for the first time in the state semifinals with an RBI single in the bottom of the sixth inning and the Golden Bears held on to beat Ottawa Hills 6-2.

Connor Gatti, Waynedale

In a 10-1 win over Harrison Central in the Division III state championship game, Gotti went 2-for-2 with a double, a pair of runs and a pair of RBIs. He also walked twice.

Nikko Georgiou, Kenston

In a 4-3 win over Ontario in the Division II state championship game, Georgiou went the distance and gave up three runs on six hits and one walk while striking out seven.

Toby Hueber, Archbishop Moeller

The George Mason recruit picked up the win in the Crusaders’ 2-0 win over Walsh Jesuit in the Division I state semifinals by going five scoreless innings and allowing just three hits and a pair of walks while striking out five. In the state championship game, he had a pair of hits, two stolen bases and two runs scored.

Keegan Knupp, Olentangy Orange

Walked off the Anthony Wayne Generals with a squeeze bunt in the bottom of the ninth inning as the Pioneers won the Division I state semifinal game 3-2.

Nathan Manley, Archbishop Moeller

Led off the bottom of the fourth inning with a triple in the Division I state semifinals against Walsh Jesuit and the Wright State commit came home to score on a single by Clay Burdette to give the Crusaders their first run in a 2-0 win.

L.A. Mighton, Kenston

The catcher got redemption for last year’s state championship game loss when he drove in the eventual winning run with an RBI single in the Division II state semifinals as the Bimbers beat Chaminade Julienne 4-2.

Grady Monigold, Hiland

In the Division IV state semifinals against Tiffin Calvert, the freshman went 3-for-3 with a pair of RBIs as the Hawks won 4-1 in eight innings.

Parker Munday, Kenston

In the Division II state semifinals against Chaminade Julienne, the southpaw went the distance and gave up just two hits and walked four while striking out 12. He also led off the top of the seventh with a hit that started a four-run rally as Kenston came from behind to win 4-2.

Treston Nemeth, Harrison Central

In the Division III state semifinals against Heath, the University of Dayton commit tossed a four-hitter as the Huskies beat the Bulldogs 2-1. Those two runs were also courtesy of Nemeth, who had a two-run triple in the third inning.

Xavier Phlipot, Russia

In the Division IV state semifinals against St. Henry, he drove in the winning run with a walk-off single in the bottom of the eighth inning for a 1-0 win. On the mound, he threw all eight innings and gave up just four hits with one walk and five strikeouts.

Ryan Piech, Walsh Jesuit

In a 2-0 loss to Moeller in the Division I state semifinals, the Xavier commit tossed a complete game three-hitter and allowed just one earned run while striking out six.

Dylan Raber, Waynedale

In the Division III state championship game against Harrison Central, the leadoff hitter went 4-for-5 and scored three runs as Waynedale repeated as state champions with a 10-1 win.

Zion Theophilus, Archbishop Moeller

In the Division I state championship game, the LSU commit tossed a complete game, allowing one run on six hits and a walk while striking out seven as the Crusaders defeated Olentangy Orange 4-1.

Carter Walters, Ontario

The sophomore threw the final three innings of Ontario’s 2-1 win over Washington Court House Washington in the Division II state semifinals and allowed just one baserunner while striking out three.

Isaak Yoder, Hiland

Took over on the mound in the state semifinals against Calvert in the sixth inning and threw three shutout innings with five strikeouts, including fanning the side in the bottom of the eighth inning to end the game. In the state championship game, he gave up one run on three hits in 3.2 innings while striking out eight. He also had a pair of hits and RBIs as Hiland beat Russia 14-4.

Nolan Yoder, Hiland

In a 14-4 win over Russia in the Division IV state championship game, Nolan Yoder went 3-for-5 with a double and a triple. He drove in three runs and also scored three times.
