Ohio high school basketball top stars and best performances (12/11/2023)
There were several big-time high school basketball performances across the state of Ohio this past week (Sunday-Saturday). Here are some of those performances.

Harper Annarino, Granville girls basketball
Accounted for nearly 60 percent of her team’s scoring, dropping 34 points and 11 rebounds in a 58-42 victory at Johnstown-Monroe.
Mackenzie Blackford, Solon girls basketball
The Duquense commit led the Comets to two victories behind 20+ point nights. Blackford had 20 points and six assists in an 81-35 victory over North Royalton and finished with 21 points in a 69-34 win against Twinsburg.
Jorden Bowens, Reynoldsburg boys basketball
Combined for 43 points in two Raiders’ victories. Bowens registered 23 points in an 87-80 overtime win against St. Vincent-St. Mary and recorded a team-high 20 points in a 74-56 victory over Groveport Madison.
Vivian Cassell, Keystone girls basketball
Scored 18 points in the Wildcats 54-27 rout over Northwestern.
Daniel Jones, Princeton boys basketball
Jones’ 18 points helped edge Lakota East 59-58.
Quinn “Turtle” Kwasniak, Cornerstone Christian boys basketball
Despite two tough losses to start the season, the junior guard managed to put together stat-stuffer performances. Kwasinak had 28 points and six threes in the first half of a 66-63 loss to Glenville and scored 31 points, 13 assists and 10 rebounds in a 110-100 loss to Open Door.
Ashley Lahmers, Massillon Jackson girls basketball
Scored a career-high 19 points in the Bears’ 51-40 victory at Green.
Maurice McCall, Columbus South boys basketball
Led the Bulldogs with a double-double, scoring 19 points and grabbing 10 rebounds in an 82-69 win over Beechcroft. McCall also had nine assists, six steals and one block.
Kruz McClure, Westerville South boys basketball
In a 54-49 comeback win over Dublin Coffman, McClure scored a game-high 23 points and finished with five rebounds, four assists and three steals.
Jesse McCulloch, Lutheran East boys basketball
Was named the Great Lakes Classic MVP after dropping 30 points to defeat Villa Angela-St. Joseph 71-35. Later that week, the senior posted a double-double with 20 points and 13 rebounds to help the Eagles beat Holy Name 77-66.
J.T. Mog, Medina boys basketball
In a 51-49 road win against Cleveland Heights, the senior guard scored a game-high 18 points with four 3-pointers.
Mackenzie Riccitelli, Boardman girls basketball
Helped lead her team to a 59-37 win over Poland with 23 points, seven steals and seven assists.
Luke Sanders, Cincinnati Hills Christian Academy boys basketball
Had a career night against Purcell Marian, scoring the go-ahead three to get a 57-51 road win. Sanders finished with 28 points to eclipse 1,000 career points.
Jordan Scully, Sidney girls basketball
Posted 37 points, three rebounds and three steals in a 69-65 overtime loss to Bath and scored 24 points in a 54-24 win over Xenia.
Berry Wallace, Pickerington Central girls basketball
Led her team with 16 points in a 57-54 victory over Magnificat. The Tigers are 5-0 on the season.
