Bree Allen, Fairland girls basketball

Had 17 points to lead the Dragons past Sheridan 58-31.

Quinn Barnett, Brunswick boys basketball

Hit a 3-pointer to force overtime and scored a game-high 31 points to help edge St. Edward 77-69.

Marcus Blaze, Perrysburg wrestling

Became a 3-time OHSAA state champ on Sunday as the junior defeated Adam Butler by pin in the second period.

Izzy Callaway, Copley girls basketball

Dropped 32 points en route to defeating Bryan 62-39 in a Division II regional final.

Aidan Fockler, Massillon Perry wrestling

Defended his Division I state championship at 285 pounds with an 8-2 win over Antonio Bottigi of Painesville Riverside, who had won the state title last season at 215 pounds.

Cali Gregory, Convoy Crestview girls basketball

The senior guard knocked down three 3-pointers and finished with 17 points to help defeat Columbus Grove 53-29.

Julia Hall, Magnificat girls basketball

Helped the Blue Streaks punch a ticket to the state semifinal with 26 points in a 61-53 victory over Brush and 12 points in a 51-36 victory over Medina.

Saniyah Hall, Laurel girls basketball

The sophomore guard helped Laurel defeat Gilmour Academy 51-38 behind a double-double of 20 points and 15 rebounds and scored 31 points to lead the Gators past Streetsboro 53-32.

Nolan Ignacio, St. Ignatius hockey

Scored a pair of goals as the Wildcats won their ninth OHSAA state championship on Sunday with a 4-1 win over University School. 

Savannah Isaac, Whitmer girls wrestling

The senior became a state champion for the fourth straight year as she won the 190-pound championship with a fall in 59 seconds, the fastest pin in the girls finals. 

Marcus Johnson, Garfield Heights boys basketball

Scored 25 points to help defeat Vincent-St. Mary 57-45 and win the district championship.

Jaxon Joy, Wadsworth wrestling

The senior picked up his third OHSAA state title on Sunday, defeating Archbishop Moeller's Londen Muprhy 15-7 at 150 pounds in Division I.

Quinn ‘Turtle’ Kwasniak, Cornerstone Christian Academy boys basketball

On Tuesday the junior guard broke the OHSAA record for 3-pointers made in a single season, reaching 141 in a 70-63 win over Fairport Harding. He finished the season with 155.

Geno Lucente, Ursuline boys basketball

Scored 22 points to hold off Notre Dame-Catherdal Latin 61-44 and claim the Fighting Irish’s first district championship since 2017.

James McCarthy, Archbishop Hoban boys basketball

Hit the game-winning buzzer beater to lift the Knights past Brecksville-Broadview Heights 47-45.

Jaydyn McKinney, Manchester girls wrestling

Became a 2-time state champion by winning the 135-pound title with a fall in 1:19.

Jayda Mosley, Purcell Marian girls basketball

Chipped in 18 points to outscore Badin 75-29 and punch a ticket to the state tournament.

Cade Norris, Hilliard Bradley boys basketball 

The Illinois State commit scored 36 points to lead the Jaguars to a 64-62 comeback victory over Westerville Central.

Ashton O’Brien, Cardinal Mooney boys basketball

The senior guard put up a game-high 27 points to defeat South Range 84-59.

Keegan Sell, Garrettsville Garfield wrestling

Became a 2-time state champion by scoring five points in the final five seconds to win the Division III state title at 190 pounds 11-6 over Xander Myers of Liberty Center.

Corri Vermilya, Loudonville girls basketball

Grabbed 13 boards in the Redbirds’ 40-14 victory over New Middleton Springfield and finished with 26 points, 12 rebounds, seven steals and three blocks in a 46-40 victory over Danbury.

Avery Wagner, Waterford girls basketball

Led the Wildcats to a 53-51 comeback victory over Hiland by hitting a layup to force overtime and finishing with 17 points and nine rebounds.
