Here are the candidates for SBLive’s Ohio high school Athlete of the Week for March 11-17. Read through the nominees and cast your vote. Dee Alexander, Purcell Marian girls basketball

Scored a game-high 18 points with six rebounds and four assists in a win over Copley in the Division II state semifinals. And then in the state championship game win over Laurel, the two-time Ohio Ms. Basketball Award winner had 18 points and six rebounds as the Cavaliers won a state title for the third straight season.

Alex Bobb, Maysville boys basketball 

With four seconds remaining on the clock, Bobb knocked down the game-winning 3-pointer to overcome a 15-point halftime deficit and defeat Warren 72-64.

Avery Brandewie, Fort Loramie girls basketball

In the Division IV state semifinal win over Convoy Crestview, she scored a team-high 22 points, including the first eight of the fourth quarter. She then led the Redskins with 17 points and eight rebounds in a 42-29 win over Waterford in the state championship game.

Alex Bruskotter, Shelby boys basketball

The senior guard scored a game-high 27 points to beat Lutheran West 55-46 and send the Whippets to their first state tournament in program history.

Jesse Burris, Delaware Hayes boys basketball

Scored 17 points and had six rebounds to shut down Olentangy Orange 74-56 and win the Pacers’ first regional championship.

Danielle Cameron, Olmsted Falls girls basketball

In the Division I state semifinal win against Magnificat, the senior had 19 points, eight rebounds and five assists. In the state championship game, Cameron scored a team-high 19 points and hit four 3-pointers, including one with 2:39 left in the game to give the Bulldogs a 6-point lead and eventual win over Springboro.

Kamryn Grant, Africentric girls basketball

Recorded a double-double with 22 points and 11 rebounds in a Division III state semifinal win over Keystone and another double-double with 10 points and 13 rebounds in the state championship game win over Ottawa-Glandorf.

Cali Gregory, Convoy Crestview girls basketball

Scored a team-high 22 points, including four 3-pointers, in a loss to Fort Loramie in the Division IV semifinals.

Jaylen Gunther, Ursuline boys basketball

The freshman standout bucketed four 3-pointers in the first quarter and finished with 16 points and six assists to beat Canfield 60-35 to capture a Division II regional title.

Saniyah Hall, Laurel girls basketball

In a win over Fairland in the Division II state semifinals, she recorded a double-double with 26 points and 15 rebounds, She also had the assist on the game-winning basket. She followed that up with 21 points and 14 rebounds in the championship game loss to Purcell Marian.

Dorian Jones, Richmond Heights boys basketball

The junior guard notched 24 points to help the Spartans roll past Warren John F. Kennedy 95-61. 

Bryn Martin, Springboro girls basketball

In a Division I state semifinal win over Pickerington Central, the junior scored 38 points to set a new record for points in Division I state tournament game (semifinals or finals). In the state championship game loss to Olmsted Falls, she had a game-high 22 points.

Carson Parker, Lima Central Catholic boys basketball

Had 19 points to lift the Thunderbirds to a 63-60 victory over Toledo Christian.

Johnathan Powell, Centerville boys basketball

Scored the game-winning 3-pointer to edge Moeller 70-69 and punch a ticket to the Elks’ fourth consecutive state tournament.

Mason Shrout, Preble Shawnee boys basketball

Dropped 28 points to help beat Versailles 53-32 in a Division III region final.

Kendall Sury, Waterford girls basketball

The junior guard led the Wildcats with 17 points in the Division IV semifinal win over Loudonville. In the state championship game loss to Fort Loramie, she scored a game-high 19 points.

Antoine West Jr., Whitmer boys basketball

The junior guard finished with 21 points and seven rebounds to lead the Panthers to a 49-47 win over Garfield Heights.

Colin White, Ottawa-Glandorf boys basketball

Scored a game-high 26 points en route to defeating Margaretta 57-43 in a Division III regional final.
