The scheduling system in Oklahoma high school basketball allows for various cross-classification matchups.

In a span of less than two weeks, Class A school Vanoss’ schedule features four games against four ranked teams between Class B and Class 2A. Three of those opponents were/are featured on our Top 25 teams in the state.

And through three games, the Wolves are 3-0, with a win against Stratford, followed by back-to-back wins over Caddo and Roff. It might be one of the most impressive runs in the state, and it can already be considered a successful stretch.

It’s why Vanoss went from unranked to No. 22 in our rankings. But there’s still one game left before this weekend’s district playoffs.

Tuesday night, the Wolves face unbeaten Dale, the reigning 2A champion and No. 3 in our rankings. It will be a substantial test for both teams ahead of the postseason.

Here is this week's SBLive Oklahoma boys basketball Top 25:

Note: Rankings and records are from games through Feb. 6.

1. Broken Arrow (17-0); last week (1)

The Tigers remain untouchable, but will be tested by Tulsa Booker T. Washington and Jenks.

2. Putnam City North (18-1); last week (2)

The Panthers, who are putting together a strong season, have a big game coming up against Putnam City West, the only team to beat them this season.

3. Dale (21-0); last week (3)

As mentioned, the Pirates play Vanoss and look to solidify their place among the state’s best teams, evidenced by their Tournament of Champions title to cap 2022.

4. Edmond North (15-2); last week (6)

The Huskies seem to be hitting their stride and jump up two spots after beating then No. 5 Westmoore.

5. Midwest City Carl Albert (15-3); last week (4)

A win over Guthrie was pretty impressive and Carl Albert has Lawton Eisenhower, Noble and El Reno in the coming week.

6. Tulsa Memorial (15-3); last week (7)

The Chargers came back from 14 to beat Tulsa Hale on Monday.

7. Westmoore (15-3); last week (5)

The Jaguars lost to Edmond North, but they are still in good shape for the regional playoffs later this month.

8. Fort Cobb-Broxton (21-1); last week (10)

The Mustangs beat Mountain View-Gotebo by six, continuing their dominance in Southwest Oklahoma.

9. Del City (11-6); last week (8)

Del City lost to OKC Douglass, but only drops one spot.

10. Weatherford (18-1); last week (15)

Weatherford makes a massive jump after wins over Kingfisher in OT, and over Newcastle.

11. Kingfisher (16-3); last week (9)

The Jackets drop a couple of spots after a loss to Weatherford, but they should still be considered a major threat in 4A.

12. OKC Crossings Christian (16-2); last week (12)

The Knights beat Harding Prep and Bethany and are still among the top teams in 4A.

13. OKC Douglass (17-1); last week (17)

The Trojans got a huge win over Del City to jump up four spots.

14. Caddo (17-2); last week (11)

Caddo lost to Vanoss, but we’re learning that wasn’t a bad loss at all.

15. Roff (19-5); last week (13)

Similarly, Roff lost to Vanoss before beating Wynnewood.

16. Oklahoma Christian School (17-2); last week (14)

21. Lawton (14-5); last week (22)

The Wolverines took care of Altus and now face Noble and OKC Southeast this week.

22. Vanoss (19-2); last week (NR)

Their two wins are impressive enough, but a win over Dale would vault Vanoss up the rankings.

23. Newcastle (17-3); last week (20)

After a 15-point loss to Weatherford, the Racers have another big game against Tuttle on Tuesday.

24. Tulsa Metro Christian (17-2); last week (23)
