Edmond North rolls to team title as Huskies qualify all 14 wrestlers to state

It was a big weekend for Edmond North boys wrestling at the 6A West Regional tournament in Piedmont.

For the first time in school history, the Huskies qualified all 14 wrestlers to next week's state tournament. That helped Edmond North dominate the team standings, as the Huskies captured first place with 353 points, more than 120 points over the runner-up.

Edmond North also had nine individual first-place finishers in the various weight classes. Jake Goodin won the 106-pound class, Brayden Belford in the 126, Hunter Hollingsworth in the 132, Joseph Jeter in the 138, Layton Schneider in the 144, Kody Routledge in the 150, Jude Randall in the 165, Oscar Williams in the 215 and Ricky Thomas in the heavyweight division.

Finishing as the runner-up in the team standings was Westmoore, which had 232 points. The Jaguars also had two first-place finishers in Ethan Day (157) and Holden Martin (175).

Third place went to Yukon with 188.5 points, and the Millers' Hayden Wright got first in the 113.

Other first-place individual winners were Cash Donnell of Piedmont (120) and Payton Thomas of Moore (190).
