Ingram has major impact for surging defending state champion Chargers

By Buck Ringgold

Jarreth Ingram knows what it takes to win big games, including helping his team win a state championship.

Ingram is determined to do it again for his Tulsa Memorial squad.

In a narrow 45-42 win on Feb. 6 against crosstown foe Nathan Hale, Ingram - a senior guard - finished with 17 points and 12 rebounds for the Chargers. Memorial then posted wins on Feb. 7 against Tulsa Rogers (68-37), Feb. 8 against Tulsa Webster (92-26) and Feb. 10 against Tulsa McLain (51-46).

During that stretch, Ingram totaled 55 points, 42 rebounds, 13 assists, eight blocked shots and seven steals. Those wins improved the Chargers - ranked No. 1 in the 5A East - to 18-3.

For his efforts, Ingram was voted the SBLive Oklahoma Athlete of the Week covering Feb. 6-12.
