Congratulations to North Medford power forward Bryce Dyer for being voted SBLive’s WaFd Bank Oregon High School Boys Basketball Player of the Week for Jan. 3-9!

The senior had another big game for the Black Tornado, helping lead the way in a 100-47 win at Yreka, Calif. In the victory, Dyer scored 22 points, while also having 10 rebounds and six assists. 

Dyer received 51.45% of the vote, beating out West Linn's Zeke Viuhkola, who finished second with 28.25%. Westview'sAmare Rolle finished third with 6.57% and Sunset's Jalen Childs finished fourth with 5.11%. There were over 37,000 votes tallied this week!

Diego Aguilar, Jefferson (2A)

The junior guard went off for a 41-point performance as he helped the Lions post a 75-62 win over Regis in a Central Valley Conference game played at Jefferson High School. 

Owen Caudle, Sherwood

The senior guard had a huge game for the Bowmen in their 73-57 nonleague victory at Sunset. Caudle poured in 31 points in the win, while also pulling down seven rebounds. 

Jalen Childs, Sunset

The senior guard scored a game-high 21 points to help the Apollos post a 71-58 win over Newberg in a nonleague game played at Sunset High School.

Ashton Foster, Dallas

The senior guard scored a game-high 21 points as he helped the Dragons rally from a 14-point deficit to get a 66-64 win over West Albany in a Mid-Willamette Conference game played at Dallas High School.

Parker Harrison, Nelson

The junior scored a game-high 25 points to help the Hawks, who were missing three starters, notch a 66-52 win at Reynolds in a Mt. Hood Conference opener. 

Jake Hergert, Westside Christian

The senior guard helped lead the Eagles to a key 57-51 road win over De La Salle Catholic. In the victory, Hergert scored a team-high 17 points, while also having 11 rebounds and four steals.

Devon Malcolm, South Medford

The senior forward had a strong overall game, with 22 points, eight rebounds and four assists, as he helped the Panthers post a 74-41 nonleague win over Clackamas. 

Rocco McClave, Crescent Valley

The sophomore had a strong overall performance for the Raiders in their Mid-Willamette Conference opening 69-38 win at West Albany. In the victory, McClave scored 15 points on 6-for-8 shooting. He also had 10 rebounds, seven steals and three assists and was dominant on the defensive end. 

Julian Mora, Summit

The senior point guard had a double-double, scoring 17 points and handing out 11 assists, to help the Storm score a 94-43 nonleague win over Crook County. 

Adrian Mosley, Grant

The junior wing scored 20 points, all coming in the first half, to help lead the Generals to an 89-29 win over Jefferson in a Portland Interscholastic League game played at Franklin High School. 

Dylan Neufeld, Grants Pass

The senior guard scored a game-high 29 points as he helped lead the Cavemen to a 77-69 victory over South Salem in a nonleague game played at South Salem High School. 

Brennen Neyt, Eagle Point

The senior wing scored a game-high 19 points, sinking two 3-point baskets in the process, as he helped the Eagles score a 78-32 nonleague home win over North Valley.

Hunter Reeve, Aloha

The junior guard helped the Warriors get a 57-46 nonleague win over Hillsboro at home by scoring a game-high 21 points. 

Carson Reno, Lake Oswego

The senior guard scored a team-high 21 points to help lead the Lakers to a 65-56 win over Westview in a nonleague game played at Westview High School.

Amare Rolle, Westview

The junior post scored a game-high 23 points, sinking five 3-point baskets in the process, for the Wildcats in a 65-56 loss to Lake Oswego in a nonleague game played at Westview High School. 

Malachi Seely-Roberts, Lincoln

The junior guard/post recorded a triple-double, with 22 points, 12 assists and 10 rebounds, for the Cardinals in their 107-98 double-overtime win over Ida B. Wells in a Portland Interscholastic League game played at Franklin High School. 

Moroni Seely-Roberts, Lincoln

The junior power forward poured in a game-high 23 points to help the Cardinals score an 89-42 win over Jefferson in a Portland Interscholastic League game played at Jefferson High School. He had 31 points and 13 rebounds in a 107-98 double-overtime win over Ida B. Wells. 

Leo Sewell, Ida B. Wells

The senior guard scored a game-high 17 points to help lead the Guardians to a 73-46 win over Franklin in a Portland Interscholastic League game played at Franklin High School.

Jacob Strand, Canby

The senior guard/wing pulled down 10 rebounds, while also scoring six points, to help the Cougars post a 48-44 win over McMinnville in a nonleague game played at McMinnville High School. 

Garrett Strube, Clackamas

The junior guard poured in a game-high 33 points to help the Cavaliers post a 74-58 win over Gresham in a Mt. Hood Conference opener played at Clackamas High School. 

Zeke Viuhkola, West Linn

The senior guard had a strong all-around performance, scoring 17 points while also having 12 rebounds and five assists for the Lions in their 91-72 nonleague home win over Sherwood. 

Max von Arx, Grant

The senior wing, a four-year starter, shined for the Generals at the Las Vegas Tarkanian Classic. In four games at the tournament, von Arx totaled 37 points, 30 rebounds, 17 assists and 18 steals. 

Jackson Weiland, South Medford

The sophomore guard scored a game-high 23 points, including five 3-point baskets, to help lead the Panthers to an 80-47 nonleague road win against University Prep, Calif. 

Matthew Weissenbrunner, Country Christian

The junior sank a last-second, game-winning 3-pointer, giving him 17 points for the game, helping the Cougars get a 43-42 win over Mannahouse Christian Academy in a nonleague game played at Country Christian.
