Congratulations to Benson guard Malaya LeSueur for being voted SBLive’s WaFd Bank Oregon High School Girls Basketball Player of the Week for Feb. 28-March 6!

The junior scored a game-high 22 points, including 19 in the second half, helping the Techsters notch a 64-62 win over Jefferson in a Class 6A state playoff second-round game played at the Marshall campus.

LeSueur received 62.85% of the vote, beating out South Medford's Sierra Logue who finished second with 31.88%

Emma Bales, Crook County

The senior post scored a game-high 21 points as she helped the Cowgirls earn a 54-47 win over Thurston in a Class 5A state playoff game held at Crook County High School.

Jazzy Davidson, Clackamas

The freshman scored a game-high 30 points, on a 14-for-18 shooting night, while also having five steals and three assists, helping the Cavaliers earn a 65-31 win over Grants Pass in a Class 6A state playoff second-round game at Clackamas High School. Davidson had 34 points, 12 rebounds and nine steals in a first-round win over St. Mary’s Academy.

Cali Denson, Milwaukie

The senior guard scored a team-high 22 points, including 16 in the first half, for the Mustangs in a 54-37 loss to Willamette in a Class 5A state playoff game held at Willamette High School. Denson made five 3-pointers in the contest.

Paige Doerr, Marist Catholic

The junior guard had a double-double, with 16 point and 17 rebounds, as she helped the Spartans earn a 54-46 win over Gladstone in a Class 4A state playoff game at Gladstone High School.

Leslie Doman, Crane

The junior, who earned first-tam all-tournament honors, helped lead the Mustangs to the championship at the Class 1A state tournament, held at Baker High School. Doman, who led all tournament players with eight 3-pointers for the event, scored a game-high 23 points in a 44-37 semifinal win over Country Christian.

Kortney Doman, Crane

The sophomore helped lead the Mustangs to the championship at the Class 1A state tournament, held at Baker High School. Doman, a first-team all-tournament pick, scored a team-high 19 points while also having eight rebounds and seven steals in a 56-47 victory over Damascus Christian in the state title game.

Callie Glenn, Union

The senior guard helped lead the Bobcats to the championship at the Class 2A state tournament, held at the Pendleton Convention Center. Glenn, a first-team all-tournament pick, averaged a tournament-best 18.7 points per game. She also averaged 3.0 assists per game. Glenn had 20 points, six rebounds and four assists in Union’s 52-38 win over Salem Academy in the state championship game.

Elizabeth Grandle, Country Christian

The senior earned first-team all-tournament accolades for her play at the Class 1A state tournament, held at Baker High School. Grandle averaged 16.7 points per game, which was second among tournament players. She averaged 10.7 rebounds per game for the Cougars at the tournament.

Ava Heiden, Sherwood

The sophomore post scored a game-high 25 points, helping the Bowmen roll to a 52-31 win over South Salem in a Class 6A first-round state playoff game held at South Salem High School. Heiden had 15 points and 10 rebounds in a second-round loss at Jesuit.

Addy Huss, Cleveland

The sophomore guard scored a game-high 21 points, helping the Warriors get a 71-65 win over Mountainside in a Class 6A state playoff first-round game played at Mountainside. Huss scored 23 points in a one-point second-round loss at West Linn.

Gracie Johnson, Nyssa

The junior forward helped lead the Bulldogs to the championship at the Class 3A state tournament, held at Marshfield High School. Johnson, a unanimous all-tournament first-team pick, averaged 15.0 points, 11.3 rebounds and 4.3 blocked shots per game at the event. She had 12 points, 14 rebounds and four blocked shots in a 33-30 win over Burns in the title game.

Akylah Kaino, Burns

The freshman wing helped lead the Hilanders to the championship game of the Class 3A state tournament, held at Marshfield High School. Kaino, a second-team all-tournament pick, had a double-double, with 19 points and 16 rebounds, in a 43-26 win over Oregon Episcopal School in a semifinal game.

Annie Koenig, Barlow

The junior wing scored a game-high 25 points, going 16 for 17 from the free throw line, helping the Bruins post a 56-41 win over Ida B. Wells in a Class 6A state playoff second-round game played at Barlow High School.

Sierra Logue, South Medford

The senior post was a force inside, with 11 rebounds and four blocked shots, as she helped the Panthers earn a 52-31 win over Sheldon in a Class 6A state playoff second-round game played at South Medford High School. Logue scored six points in the victory. She had 16 points and 10 rebounds in a first-round win over Tigard.

Alana Molden, West Linn

The senior scored the winning basket, coming with 1.1 seconds to play, helping the Lions earn a 56-55 win over Cleveland in a Class 6A state playoff second-round game played at West Linn High School. Molden had nine points, four rebounds and three steals in the contest.

Maddie Naro, Beaverton

The junior guard sank four 3-point baskets and scored 14 points, tying for game-high honors, as she helped the Beavers earn a 37-22 win over Westview in a Class 6A state playoff second-round game played at Beaverton High School.

Ryleigh Nofziger, Central Linn

The senior stepped up for the Cobras at the Class 2A state tournament, held at the Pendleton Convention Center. Nofziger averaged 13.0 points, 8.3 rebounds, 2.3 steals and 2.0 assists per game as she helped Central Linn claim the third-place trophy.

Kaylin Nowak, Union

Nowak averaged a double-double at the Class 2A state tournament, with 11.0 points and 11.0 rebounds per game, as she helped the Bobcats claim the championship at the event held at the Pendleton Convention Center. She had 16 points and six rebounds in Union’s 52-38 win over Salem Academy in the championship game.

Bailey Pedersen, Salem Academy

The senior guard helped lead the Crusaders to the championship game of the Class 2A state tournament, held at the Pendleton Convention Center. Pedersen, a unanimous first-team all-tournament pick, averaged 12.3 points per game during the event. She scored a game-high 16 points while also having seven rebounds in a 41-35 semifinal win over Bandon.

Keelie O’Hollaren, Lakeridge

The junior wing had a huge game for Pacers in their 54-39 win over Oregon City in a Class 6A state playoff second-round game played at Lakeridge High School. O’Hollaren scored a game-high 23 points, shooting at a 4-for-7 clip from 3-point range. She had 13 rebounds, two assists and two steals.

Emma Sixta, Jesuit

The junior guard scored a game-high 23 points, getting 12 of those points from the free throw line, while also having three steals and three assists as she helped the Crusaders earn a 54-41 win over Sherwood in a Class 6A state playoff second-round game played at Jesuit High School.

Brynn Smith, Willamette

The freshman guard scored a game-high 23 points, helping the Wolverines get a 54-37 win over Milwaukie in a Class 5A state playoff game held at Willamette High School.

Laelie Rasmussen, Damascus Christian

The sophomore post helped lead the Eagles to the championship game at the Class 1A state tournament, held at Baker High School. Rasmussen averaged 12.0 points and a tournament-best 4.3 offensive rebounds per game at the event. She had 19 points and nine rebounds in a 56-47 loss to Crane in the state championship game.

Micah Wicks, Sutherlin

The junior guard was a unanimous all-tournament first-team pick for her play at the Class 3A state tournament, held at Marshfield High School. Wicks averaged a tournament-best 27.7 points per game, while also having 5.7 steals and 4.3 assists per game.

Kaitlyn Wright, Burns

The senior wing helped lead the Hilanders to the championship game at the Class 3A state tournament, held at Marshfield High School. Wright, a first-team all-tournament pick, averaged 12.3 points and 1.7 blocked shots per game at the event.
