Congratulations to Mountainside guard Dimitri Cohen for being voted SBLive’s WaFd Bank Oregon High School Boys Basketball Player of the Week for March 7-13!

The senior was a second-team all-tournament selection for the Mavericks at the Class 6A state tournament, held at the Chiles Center. Cohen scored a game-high 17 points while also having four rebounds and two steals in Mountainside’s 66-56 quarterfinal win over Cleveland.

Cohen received 55.47% of the vote, beating out Tualatin's Josiah Lake who finished second with 33.74%. Banks' Cooper Gobel finished third with 5.92% and Tualatin's Noah Ogoli finished fourth with 1.44%.

Jacob Axmaker, Stayton

The senior guard, a second-team all-tournament pick, scored a team-high 24 points while also having four rebounds for the Eagles in their 67-55 win over Marshfield at the Class 4A state tournament, held at Marshfield High School.

Ty Best, Cascade

The junior guard helped lead the Cougars to the championship at the Class 4A state tournament, held at Marshfield High School. Best, an all-tournament first-team pick, scored 22 points and had nine rebounds in a 57-46 semifinal victory over Banks.

Tate Broesder, Crater

The senior wing, a second-team all-tournament pick, scored a game-high 23 points while also having six rebounds for the Comets in their 50-45 win over Ashland in the Class 5A state tournament fourth-place game, held at Gill Coliseum. 

Kaleb Burnett, Junction City

The junior post was a unanimous first-team all-tournament pick for the Tigers at the Class 4A state tournament, held at Marshfield High School. Burnett averaged 19.0 points and 8.7 rebounds per game at the event.

Jackson Cooper, Cleveland

The junior forward had a double-double, with 14 points and 10 rebounds, as well as three assists, three blocked shots and two steals for the Warriors in their 69-65 loss to Roosevelt at the Class 6A state tournament, held at the Chiles Center.

Neil Efimov, Silverton

The senior helped lead the Foxes to second place at the Class 5A state tournament, held at Gill Coliseum. Efimov, an all-tournament first-team selection, scored a game-high 20 points while also having four steals and two assists in a 50-36 semifinal win over Redmond.

Cooper Gobel, Banks

The senior wing was a first-team all-tournament pick at the Class 4A state tournament, held at Marshfield High School. Gobel scored a team-high 22 points while also having seven rebounds and three assists in Banks’ 62-54 win over Seaside in the third-place game.

Caden Harris, Summit

The senior helped lead the Storm to a second-place finish at the Class 6A state tournament, held at the Chiles Center. Harris averaged 15.0 points, 9.0 rebounds and 2.7 assists per game during the event.

Terrance Hill, Roosevelt

The sophomore guard, a second-team all-tournament pick, averaged 19.3 points per game for the Roughriders at the Class 6A state tournament, held at the Chiles Center. Hill scored a team-high 24 points in a 79-75 loss to South Medford in the fourth-place game.

Boden Howell, South Medford

The freshman guard, a second-team all-tournament pick, scored 32 points while also having nine rebounds and four assists for the Panthers in their 79-75 win over Roosevelt in the Class 6A state tournament fourth-place game.

Josiah Lake, Tualatin

The junior guard, a first-team all-tournament pick, helped lead the Timberwolves to the championship at the Class 6A state tournament, held at the Chiles Center. Lake, who led all players in rebounds at the tournament with a 10.7 average, scored a game-high 20 points and added nine rebounds in a 56-49 semifinal win over West Linn.

Ty May, Philomath

The junior forward had a double-double for the Warriors, with 17 points and 10 rebounds, helping them get a 67-60 win over Baker at the Class 4A state tournament, held at Marshfield High School.

Jordan McCarty, Silverton

The senior guard helped lead the Foxes to second place at the Class 5A state tournament, held at Gill Coliseum. McCarty, a first-team all-tournament pick, scored 10 points and had six assists in a 50-36 win over Redmond in a semifinal contest.

Dominic Montiel, Marshfield

The senior scored a game-high 26 points for the Pirates while also having five rebounds and two steals in their 67-55 loss to Stayton at the Class 4A state tournament, held at Marshfield High School.

Julian Mora, Summit

The senior guard helped lead the Storm to second place at the Class 6A state tournament, held at the Chiles Center. Mora, a first-team all-tournament selection, averaged 12.3 points and a tournament-best 5.3 assists per game at the event.

Samaje Morgan, Churchill

The senior guard, a first-team all-tournament selection for the Lancers, led all players in scoring, at 25.3 points per game, and in assists, with a 6.7 average, at the Class 5A state tournament, held at Gill Coliseum.

Brennen Neyt, Eagle Point

The senior wing scored a game-high 17 points while also having four rebounds, two assists and two blocked shots for the Eagles in their 58-53 loss to Crater at the Class 5A state tournament, held at Gill Coliseum.

Noah Ogoli, Tualatin

The senior guard helped lead the Timberwolves to the championship at the Class 6A state tournament, held at the Chiles Center. Ogoli scored a game-high 24 points while also having nine rebounds, four steals and three assists for Tualatin in its 66-49 win over Summit in the state title game.

Evan Otten, Redmond

The junior center earned first-team all-tournament accolades for the Panthers at the Class 5A state tournament, held at Gill Coliseum. Otten averaged a tournament-best 15.7 rebounds per game while also scoring at a 12.0 clip.

Aidan Rice, Beaverton

The sophomore guard sank six 3-point baskets and scored a game-high 20 points for the Beavers in their 52-45 overtime loss to South Medford at the Class 6A state tournament, held at the Chiles Center.

Malik Ross, Tualatin

The senior guard, who was a unanimous first-team all-tournament pick, helped lead the Timberwolves to the championship at the Class 6A state tournament, held at the Chiles Center. Ross averaged 14.3 points, 2.7 assists and 1.7 steals per game during the event.

Kellen Sande, Cascade

The senior guard helped lead the Cougars to the championship at the Class 4A state tournament, held at Marshfield High School. Sande averaged 17.3 points, 3.3 assists and 1.7 steals per game at the event.

Jackson Shelstad, West Linn

The junior guard was a unanimous all-tournament first-team selection for the Lions at the Class 6A state tournament, held at the Chiles Center. Shelstad, who averaged a tournament-best 26.0 points per game, scored 33 points, on 13-of-19 shooting, in West Linn’s 77-50 win over Mountainside in the third-place game. 

Egan Shields, Ashland

The junior forward was a second-team all-tournament pick for the Grizzlies at the Class 5A state tournament, held at Gill Coliseum. Shields averaged 14.0 points and 3.3 assists per game at the event.

Ever Sibony, Seaside

The senior guard was a first-team all-tournament selection for the Seagulls at the Class 4A state tournament, held at Marshfield High School. Sibony averaged 18.7 points, 2.7 assists and 2.0 steals per game at the event.

Hudson Spike, Baker

The sophomore forward scored a game-high 20 points for the Bulldogs while also having four rebounds, three steals and two assists in their 67-60 loss to Philomath at the Class 4A state tournament, held at Marshfield High School.

Logan Thebiay, Wilsonville

The senior post helped lead the Wildcats to the championship at the Class 5A state tournament, held at Gill Coliseum. Thebiay, a second-team all-tournament selection, pulled down 18 rebounds and scored nine points in a 58-41 semifinal win over Churchill.

Cooper Wakefield, Crescent Valley

The senior scored a game-high 20 points while also having two rebounds and two steals for the Raiders in their 74-58 loss to Ashland at the Class 5A state tournament, held at Gill Coliseum.

Maxim Wu, Wilsonville

The junior guard helped lead the Wildcats to the championship at the Class 5A state tournament, held at Gill Coliseum. Wu, a first-team all-tournament pick, scored a game-high 15 points while also having four rebounds and two assists in a 58-41 semifinal win over Churchill.
