Here are the candidates for the WaFd Bank Oregon High School Softball Player of the Week for April 4-10 as nominated by coaches, fans and readers.

Rylie Arruda, Forest Grove 

The junior threw a complete-game shutout, giving up two hits, while striking out five and walking none, helping lead the Vikings to a 7-0 win over Beaverton in a nonleague game at Forest Grove High School. 

Jordan Cosby, Pleasant Hill 

The senior belted a grand slam, helping the Billies record a 13-1 win over Elmira/Mapleton in a nonleague game at Pleasant Hill High School. Cosby went 2 for 3 with two runs and five RBIs. 

Avery Cox, Century 

The freshman center fielder shined in a big way on defense, as she “made some really great plays this week,” coach Janieve Nelson said, for the Jaguars in nonleague games with Clackamas, Reynolds and Central. 

Ainsley Davis, Jesuit

The senior threw a complete-game shutout, giving up four hits, while striking out seven and walking none, helping lead the Crusaders to a 7-0 win over West Linn in a nonleague game at Jesuit High School. 

Olivia Dunn, Grant

The senior smacked three doubles, going 3 for 3 with three runs and four RBIs, helping the Generals run to a 17-5 win over McDaniel in a Portland Interscholastic League opener at Erv Lind Stadium. 

Shyanne Fenley, Pleasant Hill

The junior hit a walkoff inside-the-park home run in the bottom of the seventh inning, helping the Billies post a 6-5 win over Henley in a nonleague game at Pleasant Hill High School. 

Stella Fergeson, Ida B. Wells

The senior went 4 for 5 with two doubles, three runs and three RBIs, helping lead the Guardians to a 16-6 win over McDaniel in a Portland Interscholastic League game at Delta Park. 

Addisen Fisher, Bend

The sophomore threw a no-hitter for the Lava Bears, striking out 14 and walking none in a 13-0 nonleague win at Glencoe. The only Crimson Tide batter to reach base did so on an error. Fisher followed by striking out a career-high 18 batters in a 3-1 nonleague victory against Southridge. 

Gabi Garcia, Tillamook

The junior went 3 for 4 with two doubles, two runs and six RBIs, helping lead the Cheesemakers to a 17-2 win over Gladstone in a nonleague game at Gladstone High School. 

Gabby Heiken, Ashland

The senior pitcher/shortstop had a big week for the Grizzlies. In a 16-6 nonleague win over North Valley, Heiken went 3 for 5 with a home run, a double and a triple. She also picked up the pitching win, allowing four hits while striking out eight in six innings. In a doubleheader sweep of North Eugene in Midwestern League play, Heiken went 3 for 4 with five RBIs, four runs, a double and two walks. She also turned three double plays from her shortstop spot. 

Kaylee Holland, Churchill

The junior blasted a solo home run on her way to going 3 for 4 with three runs and two stolen bases as she helped the Lancers post a 14-7 win over Willamette in a Midwestern League game at Willamette High School. 

Delaney Hoyle, Lakeridge 

The sophomore pitched and hit the Pacers to a 9-1 win over Beaverton in a nonleague game at Beaverton High School. Hoyle, batting in the leadoff spot, went 3 for 4 with two runs and an RBI. In the circle, Hoyle allowed just one unearned run on two hits, while striking out 15 and walking one.

Kacee Hudson, South Medford

The sophomore hit and pitched the Panthers to a 3-2 win over Sheldon in the first game of a Southwest Conference doubleheader at South Medford. Hudson went 2 for 3 with two stolen bases and two runs. In a complete-game pitching performance, Hudson gave up two unearned runs on three hits, while striking out nine and walking four. 

Brielle Kessler, Stayton

The sophomore went 2 for 4 with a home run, two runs and two RBIs, helping the Eagles roll to a 13-2 win over Sweet Home in an Oregon West Conference game at Sweet Home High School. 

Ambur Livingston, Putnam

The freshman second baseman hit her first high school home run in the opening game of a nonleague doubleheader at Redmond. She hit another home run in the second game. For the season, Livingston is hitting for a .375 average, a .625 slugging percentage and an OPS of 1.044. 

Kacy Lyman, Jesuit

The senior infielder went 2 for 3 with a double, a run and two RBIs, helping the Crusaders hold on to get a 5-4 win over Sheldon in a nonleague game at Jesuit High School. Lyman followed by hitting two home runs and a double and driving in five runs in a 7-0 home win over West Linn. 

Sierra McKenna, Sunset

The sophomore was 3 for 3 with a triple and an RBI, helping lead the Apollos to a 10-4 win over Forest Grove in a nonleague game at Sunset High School. 

Serayah Neiss, Newberg

The senior left-hander pitched a perfect game, helping lead the Tigers to a 10-0 win over Grants Pass in a nonleague game at Newberg High School. Before that, Neiss shut out Mountainside in a 1-0 victory, striking out 10 while giving up four hits and walking none. 

Avery Pounder, Bandon

The senior, with strong pitching and hitting, helped lead the Tigers to a 15-0, three-inning win over Reedsport in a Sunset Conference game at Bandon High School. In the circle, Pounder gave up just one hit, while striking out four and walking two. At the plate, Pounder went 3 for 3 with three runs, three RBIs and two stolen bases. Pounder also went 3 for 4 with a double, a triple, two runs and three RBIs in a 16-1 win over Coquille. 

Makenna Reid, Tigard

The senior left-hander pitched a perfect game, striking out 18 and walking none, helping lead the Tigers to a 1-0 win over Dallas in a nonleague game at Tigard High School. For the week, Reid went 3-0 in the circle with 41 strikeouts. 

Evy Remington, Philomath

The freshman pitched and hit the Warriors to a 3-1 win over Sisters in an Oregon West Conference game at Sisters High School. In seven innings in the circle, Remington gave up one run on two hits, while striking out 12 and walking one. At the plate, she went 2 for 3 with a double and an RBI. 

Camille Schmitz, Tualatin

The senior pitcher helped lead the Timberwolves to a 1-0 win over Sherwood in a nonleague game at Tualatin High School. Schmitz gave up three hits while striking out 11 and walking two in seven innings. 

Skylar Teixiera, Beaverton

The senior went 2 for 3 with a home run, two runs and three RBIs, helping the Beavers post an 11-8 win over Central in a nonleague game at Beaverton High School. Teixiera also picked up the pitching win, giving up just one earned run while striking out five. 

Isabelle Trevino, Stayton

The junior pitched three no-hit innings while also scoring three runs and driving in three runs for the Eagles in their 15-0 win over Woodburn in an Oregon West Conference contest at Stayton High School. 

Lacey Vasas, McNary

The junior threw a complete-game shutout, giving up just three hits while striking out five and walking two, leading the Celtics to a 1-0 win over previously unbeaten Tualatin in a nonleague game at McNary High School. 

Hailey Waldon, Eagle Point

The junior had a big day at the plate, going 3 for 4 with a double, a run and four RBIs, helping lead the Eagles to an 8-5 win over Mazama in a nonleague game at Eagle Point High School. 

Malia Williams, Marist Catholic

The senior threw a five-inning no-hitter, getting all 15 outs on strikeouts, as she led the Spartans to a 12-0 win over Henley in a nonleague game at Marist Catholic. Williams, who walked two batters, also went 1 for 2 at the plate with two walks, two stolen bases, three runs and an RBI.
