The Oregon Ducks men's basketball program may be on the verge of putting together a big-time roster for next season.

But a few pieces need to fall in place.

Dana Altman is still awaiting word on the return of talented point guard Will Richardson, versatile forward Quincy Guerrier and double-double machine N'Faly Dante, as well as the inevitable (and much-anticipated) arrival of signed five-star point guard Dior Johnson and five-star center Kel'el Ware.

That's a lot of moving parts.

And another one is soon on to be on the way.

I'm hearing Oregon is posed to add an immediate-impact transfer within the next week.

The Ducks appear to be set at the post positions with Dante, Ware and former five-star recruit Nate Bittle, who has reportedly taken a big leap over the past few months.

Far less certain are the guard and wing spots.

Richardson seems likely to return, but his situation is far from certain, as the Bob Cousy Award semifinalist is a bubble NBA Draft pick.

De'Vion Harmon announced his intentions to return to Oregon on social media, but the post has since been deleted, leading to speculation he could be on the move now that his primary recruiter, Chris Crutchfield, has departed the program for the Omaha head coaching job.

Geurrier, Rivaldo Soares and incoming junior college stars Tyrone Williams and Brennan Rigsby provide depth at the wing, but also some uncertainty.

So, there's clearly wiggle room to add talent.

Expect Oregon to address a key need in the coming days.
