Here are the candidates for SBLive’s Oregon High School Team of the Week for April 18-24 as nominated by coaches, fans and readers.

Astoria softball

Astoria (11-2) solidified its spot atop the Cowapa League with a 16-4 mercy-rule win over second-place Valley Catholic on Wednesday. 

Barlow boys/girls track

Barlow swept a league meet over Adrienne Nelson and David Douglas on Tuesday, scoring first-place points in 10 of the 17 boys events with 1-2 finishes in three races. The girls team won seven events and pulled off a sweep in the pole vault.

Clackamas baseball

Clackamas (14-2) notched a 12-2 win over Centennial on Wednesday, then moved out of league play and beat Sprague 4-1 on Thursday. 

Estacada softball 

Estacada (11-4) remained unbeaten in the Tri-Valley Conference by sweeping twinbills against North Marion and Molalla, putting up 68 runs across the four games. 

La Grande baseball

La Grande (16-1) moved alone to the top of the Greater Oregon League with a doubleheader sweep over second-place Baker on Wednesday by a combined score of 26-0. La Grande finished the week with a 5-0 home win over Philomath, marking its fifth consecutive shutout. 

North Marion baseball

North Marion (12-4) remained unbeaten in the Tri-Valley Conference with a 7-4 win at Madras on Monday, followed by a doubleheader sweep of Estacada on Friday. 

Oregon City girls track

The Oregon City girls claimed the team title at their host invitational Saturday, piling up 112 points to outpace runner-up Glencoe by more than 50 points. The Pioneers won eight events and had two top-three finishes.

Pendleton boys track

The Pendleton boys won the team title at Saturday’s Willamette Falls Invitational with 112.5 points. The Buckaroos won five events, topping the podium in all three throwing events. 

Philomath girls track

The Philomath girls won the team title at Saturday’s Meet of Champions in Sweet Home with 107.5 points. Philomath won four events, including a sweep of the relays, while picking up top-three finishes in five other events. 

Putnam baseball

Putnam (12-4) swept a three-game series against rival Milwaukie, including an 11-0 road win Wednesday — the team’s fourth shutout of the season.

Roseburg boys track

The Roseburg boys won the 14-team John Oliver Invitational on Friday with 134.5 points. The team won seven events and had six other top-three finishes. 

Scappoose softball

Scappoose (10-4) remained unbeaten in the Northwest Oregon Conference with wins over St. Helens, Putnam and Parkrose. Scappoose put up 18 runs against Parkrose — the sixth time Scappoose has surpassed 10 runs this season.

Tigard softball

Tigard (16-1) stayed perfect in the Three Rivers League with a 7-0 shutout at West Linn on Wednesday, followed by a 1-0 win over rival Tualatin on Friday. The Tigers have allowed one run in their past five games. 

Thurston baseball

Thurston (14-2) moved alone to the top of the Midwestern League with a 6-3 win over second-place Ashland on Wednesday. The Colts finished the week by sweeping a doubleheader over North Eugene by a combined score of 23-3.

Tualatin boys/girls track

Tualatin swept a league meet over rival Tigard on Tuesday. The Timberwolves won the boys meet 75-69, scoring first-place points across nine events. Tualatin swept the 100 and 200-meter races and outscored Tigard 28-4 in the sprint races. Tualatin won the girls meet 68-58 with first-place points in eight of the 15 events, highlighted by a sweep in the shot put.

Wells baseball

Ida B. Wells (11-7) stayed perfect in the PIL with a couple of two-run wins over Lincoln, followed by a mercy-rule victory at McDaniel on Saturday.

Westview softball

Westview (12-5) moved to the top of the Metro League with a 9-7 win at Mountainside in a battle for first place Friday. The Wildcats opened the week with road wins over Southridge and Sunset.

Wilsonville baseball

Wilsonville (13-2) retained its No. 1 ranking in 5A along with a share of first place in the Northwest Oregon Conference with a three-game sweep of Hillsboro. 

Wilsonville softball

Wilsonville (13-3) stayed perfect in the Northwest Oregon Conference by stringing together mercy-rule wins over Hillsboro, Milwaukie and La Salle Prep, outscoring their foes by a combined 47-0.
