Congratulations to Pleasant Hill shortstop/catcher Shyanne Fenley for being voted SBLive’s WaFd Bank Oregon High School Softball Player of the Week for May 2-8!

The junior went 2 for 5 with a home run, a stolen base, two runs and two RBIs for the Billies in an 8-7 loss to Harrisburg in a Mountain Valley Conference game at Harrisburg.

Fenley received 29.06% of the total vote, beating out South Salem's Desirae Hatfield who finished second with 15.3%. Lebanon's Alivia Holden finished third with 12.37% and South Medford's Kaycee Hudson finished fourth with 10.04%. There were over 50,000 votes tallied this week!

Delaney Buzzard, Harrisburg

The senior went 3 for 4 with a double, a stolen base, two runs and two RBIs, helping the Eagles edge Pleasant Hill 8-7 in a Mountain Valley Conference game at Harrisburg High School.

Caelyn Davis, Mazama

The freshman was 4 for 4 with two doubles, a triple, three runs and three RBIs, helping the Vikings run to a 15-0 win over Klamath Union in a Skyline Conference game at Mazama High School.

Ava Diaz, Tualatin

The freshman blasted a grand slam to help lead the Timberwolves to an 11-0 win over Lake Oswego in a Three Rivers League game at Tualatin High School. Diaz also walked, was hit by a pitch, stole a base and drove in four runs in the victory.

Paige Doerr, Marist Catholic

The junior went 3 for 4 with two doubles, three runs and five RBIs, helping power the Spartans to a 23-5 win over Siuslaw in a Sky Em League contest at Siuslaw High School.

Heather Ebner, McNary

The junior third baseman/catcher went 4 for 4 with two RBIs to help lead the Celtics to a 6-3 come-from-behind win over Crater in a nonleague game at McNary High School. For the season, Ebner is hitting for a .500 batting average and a .911 slugging percentage with 23 RBIs.

Lily Ferres, Roosevelt

The junior, with some strong hitting and pitching, helped lead the Roughriders to a 16-1, four-inning win over McDaniel in a Portland Interscholastic League game at Delta Park. From her leadoff spot, Ferres went 3 for 3 with a triple, two stolen bases, three runs and three RBIs. In the circle, she gave up no runs on just one hit in four innings.

Addisen Fisher, Bend

The sophomore threw a five-inning perfect game, striking out all 15 batters she faced, leading the Lava Bears to a 13-0 win over Summit in a Mountain Valley Conference game at Summit High School. Fisher threw first-pitch strikes to 14 of the 15 batters, and she recorded strikes on 47 of her 55 pitches. Fisher also went 2 for 3 with a home run and five RBIs.

Desirae Hatfield, South Salem

The junior went 3 for 3 with a double, three runs and three RBIs, helping the Saxons run to a 16-0 win over Summit in a Mountain Valley Conference game at Summit High School.

Claire Hattendorf, Sunset

The freshman went 4 for 4, and she drove in the walk-off run in the seventh inning, helping the Apollos edge Beaverton 7-6 in a Metro League game at Sunset High School. Hattendorf scored two runs.

Cyndey Hess, West Linn

The senior shortstop had a big week at the plate, helping the Lions get wins over Lake Oswego and Oregon City in Three Rivers League play. Against Lake Oswego, Hess went 2 for 5 with a grand slam, a double and seven RBIs. Against Oregon City, she went 3 for 4 with two more RBIs. Hess also played error-free defense in both victories.

Alivia Holden, Lebanon

The junior had a big week for the Warriors, both pitching and hitting. In the circle, Holden threw a no-hitter, while giving up a total of one hit in two games, while striking out 19 in 12 innings. At the plate, she went 5 for 8 with two home runs and eight RBIs.

Kaycee Hudson, South Medford

The sophomore helped the Panthers sweep South Eugene, by scores of 14-0 and 16-1, in a Southwest Conference doubleheader at Grants Pass High School. In the two games, Hudson went a combined 6 for 6 with six runs and two RBIs.

Emily Hull, Monroe

The junior blasted a three-run homer and scored four runs, helping the Dragons get a 17-8 win over Oakland in a Special District 3 game at Monroe High School.

Gracie Huston, Central Catholic

The sophomore pitched and hit the Rams to a 7-1 win over Nelson in a Mt. Hood Conference game at the Nelson Sports Complex. At the plate, Huston was 4 for 4 with a double and three runs. In the circle, in a complete-game performance, she gave up one unearned run on four hits with eight strikeouts and no walks.

Noel Julison, Nelson

The senior, with a strong hitting and pitching performance, helped power the Hawks to a 15-0, five-inning win over Clackamas in a Mt. Hood Conference game at Clackamas High School. At the plate, Julison went 4 for 4 with a home run, two doubles and four RBIs. In the circle, she threw four and two-thirds innings of shutout ball, giving up two hits while striking out two and walking none.

Addison Kachnik, Mountainside

The senior went 4 for 4 with a home run, three runs and three RBIs, helping lead the Mavericks to a 19-2 win over Beaverton in a Metro League game at Beaverton High School.

Fionna Ketchem, Days Creek

The senior went 2 for 3 with a home run, three runs and two RBIs, helping the Wolves earn an 18-9 win over Oakland in a Special District 3 game at Days Creek.

Lacey Makinson, Rainier

The freshman went 3 for 4 with a home run, a double, a run and three RBIs for the Columbians in their 9-8 loss to Clatskanie in a Special District 1 game at Clatskanie High School.

Danielle Martin, Monroe

The junior went 3 for 4 with a home run, a double, three runs and two RBIs, helping the Dragons post a 17-8 win over Oakland in a Special District 3 contest at Monroe High School.

Terry McNeley, Lakeview

The junior had an absolutely huge performance for the Honkers, both pitching and batting, in their 9-0 win over Bonanza in a Special District 5 game at Lakeview. At the plate, McNeley went 2 for 4 with a home run, a double, a run and three RBIs. In the circle, she threw a one-hit, complete-game shutout, striking out 19 and walking none. McNeley followed by throwing a complete-game no-hitter, striking out 17 and walking none, in a 5-0 win over Phoenix.

Shaylinn Rohde, Willamette

The sophomore went 3 for 4 with a home run, two doubles, two runs and three RBIs, powering the Wolverines to a 10-3 win over North Bend in a Midwestern League game at Willamette High School.

Jessica Rule, Stayton

The junior got the job done both at the plate and in the circle for the Eagles in their 13-2, six-inning win over Sisters in an Oregon West Conference game at Sisters High School. Rule gave up two unearned runs on two hits while striking out six and walking two. At the plate, she went 2 for 3 with a walk, three runs and an RBI.

Camille Schmitz, Tualatin

The senior pitcher, with her seven strikeouts in an 11-1 win over Lake Oswego, now has recorded more than 200 strikeouts for the season.

Miranda Scovil, Santiam Christian

The sophomore went 3 for 4 with a home run, two runs and two RBIs, helping the Eagles post an 8-5 win over Creswell in a Mountain Valley Conference game at Creswell High School. Scovil also picked up the pitching win.

Samantha Shipley, Century

The senior catcher/shortstop has been a strong force all season for the Jaguars, as she’s hit for a .676 batting average.

Kyra Smith, Eagle Point

The junior threw 14-plus innings for the Eagles, helping them sweep a Midwestern League doubleheader against Churchill. Smith, who improved to 11-6 on the season, allowed a total of nine hits in the two games.

Esperanza Walsh, Grant

The freshman went 4 for 5 with three doubles, a stolen base, four runs and six RBIs, powering the Generals to a 20-5 win over McDaniel in a Portland Interscholastic League contest at Delta Park.
