Oregon 4A/3A/2A/1A girls tennis: Klamath Union's Patricia Dougherty (singles), Oregon Episcopal's Marin Roseman-Sophia Dube (doubles), Catlin Gabel (team) earn titles

Patricia Dougherty got on a roll.
And there was absolutely no stopping her.
Dougherty, a Klamath Union sophomore, won all four of her matches in straight sets on her way to claiming the girls singles title at the Class 4A/3A/2A/1A state tennis championships, held Friday and Saturday at Oregon State University in Corvallis.
Dougherty, the No. 2 seed, won her first three matches by scores of 6-0, 6-0; 6-0, 6-1 and 6-2, 6-1 before posting a 6-1, 6-2 win over Catlin Gabel senior Lola Diaz Gonzalez, the top seed, in Saturday’s girls singles championship match.
Catlin Gabel senior Anna Semler, the No. 4 seed, got a 6-4, 6-4 win over Philomath sophomore Bailey Bell, the No. 3 seed, in the girls singles third-place match.
In girls doubles play, the Oregon Episcopal School team of sophomore Marin Roseman and junior Sophia Dube entered the state tournament as the Special District 1 runner-up and the No. 4 seed, but Roseman and Dube didn’t let any of that deter them, as they powered their way to the championship.
The OES duo won all four matches in straight sets, capping things with a 6-3, 6-2 victory over the second-seeded team of senior Hannah Poisson and sophomore Pratheeka Weerakoon of St. Mary’s of Medford.
The Cascade duo of senior Ariel Tobiasson and junior Marilyn Suelzle got a 6-3, 6-0 victory over the third-seeded team of junior Brenda Ramirez and freshman Elsie Seals of Vale in the third-place match. Tobiasson and Suelzle also knocked off the top-seeded duo during tournament play.
Catlin Gabel won the girls team championship with a score of 15 points. Oregon Episcopal School was second with 13 points. Klamath Union was third with eight points, and Cascade was fourth with seven points.
