The Oregon high school baseball playoffs got underway Monday with 6A first-round action. Here's a look at some of the highlights.

Lakeridge 11, Reynolds 0

Junior Paul Wilson provided the power for the Pacers in a five-inning game at Lakeridge High School. 

The left-hander threw a no-hitter, striking out 14 in his five innings. He also belted a three-run homer. 

Seniors Mason Utech and Alou Dechard also homered. 

Lakeridge, which improved to 23-5, will play host to Westview in a second-round game Wednesday.

Reynolds finished its season 12-15.

Westview 3, Grant 2

Sophomore Cole Katayama-Stall came through in the clutch for the Wildcats in a game played at the University of Portland. 

Katayama-Stall laced a two-run single in the top of the fifth inning to break a 1-1 tie. He was also tough on the mound, giving up just one earned run.

Westview, which moved to 13-14, will play at Lakeridge in a second-round game Wednesday.

Grant finished its season 18-8. 

Tualatin 7, Grants Pass 1

Tualatin found itself facing a quick 1-0 deficit, but it was all Timberwolves after that at Tualatin High School.

Grants Pass scored in the top of the first inning. Tualatin answered in its half of the frame, getting five consecutive hits, leading to three runs.

Seniors Brian Greer and Aidan Howard each had two hits and two RBIs. Senior Ryan Morrison got the pitching win, giving up just the one run in six innings.

Tualatin, which improved to 16-11, will play at neighboring Sherwood in a second-round game Wednesday.

Grants Pass finished its season 12-14. 

Sherwood 4, Gresham 3

The Bowmen rallied from a 3-0 first-inning deficit, with sophomore Parker Fabrycki scoring the walk-off run in the seventh inning at Sherwood High School.

Senior Ian Umlandt pitched the first six innings for Sherwood, giving up three runs on two hits while striking out 15 and walking four. Sophomore Nolan Umlandt pitched the seventh inning for the Bowmen, striking out two of the three batters he faced to get the win.

Senior Brennan Wieg went 2 for 4 with a home run and two RBIs. Fabrycki scored twice.

Sherwood, which improved to 23-5, will play host to Tualatin in a second-round game Wednesday. 

Seniors Zack Kaufman and Austin Stalwick each scored a run and drove in a run for Gresham, which finished its season 15-13. 

McMinnville 2, Tigard 1 (8 innings)

Junior Parker Guinn did it all for the Grizzlies, pitching eight strong innings and capping things by hitting a walk-off home run in the eighth at Patton Middle School. 

Guinn, in his eight innings on the mound, gave up one run on five hits while striking out 10 and walking none. He also drove in the Grizzlies’ other run, singling in senior Ky Hoskinson in the bottom of the third. 

Guinn and Hoskinson each went 2 for 4. One of Hoskinson’s hits was a double.

McMinnville, which improved to 26-2, will play host to Sheldon in a second-round game Wednesday.

Tigard, which finished its season 10-17, got a strong pitching performance from junior Buddy Brands, who gave up one run on three hits while striking out nine in seven innings. 

Sheldon 10, Central Catholic 3

Senior Brody Spurlock hit a three-run homer and senior Taylor Langworthy turned in a complete-game pitching performance, helping lead the Irish to the win at Walker Stadium. 

Spurlock hit his home run in the top of the third inning, giving Sheldon a 3-1 lead. Junior Cade Welch went 2 for 4 for the Irish with a run and two RBIs. Senior Dom Graziano doubled and scored three times.

Langworthy gave up three runs on seven hits while striking out four and walking four.

The Irish got a big defensive play from senior center fielder Drew Coleman, who, running toward the wall in center, made a diving catch and then made a throw to first for an inning-ending double play, getting Sheldon out of a bases-loaded fifth-inning jam.

Sheldon will play at McMinnville in a second-round game Wednesday.

Sophomore Cade Gehlen had three hits for Central Catholic, which finished its season 21-7. 

Sprague 10, Sunset 4

Sophomore Hayden Laudette went 3 for 4 with two runs and an RBI to help the Olympians get the victory at Sprague High School.

Sprague had 15 hits. Junior Grant Strother went 3 for 4 with two runs. Senior Chris Rogers doubled twice, scored two runs and drove in one. Junior Taylor Brenneman went 2 for 4 with a double and two runs.

Sprague, which improved to 22-6, will play at West Linn in a second-round game Wednesday.

Junior Logan Sullivan had two hits and scored two runs for Sunset, which finished its season 16-12. 

West Linn 8, Glencoe 3

Senior Kace Naone belted a first-inning grand slam for the Lions, setting the tone at West Linn High School.

Junior Drake Gabel added two hits and an RBI, in addition to pitching two and one-third scoreless innings of relief for the Lions. 

West Linn, which improved to 21-7, will play host to Sprague in a second-round game Wednesday. Glencoe finished its season 11-16.

South Medford 8, Lincoln 1

The Panthers scored eight runs in the bottom of the fifth inning to erase a 1-0 deficit and get the win at Harry and David Field. 

Senior Jace Miller had a triple and two RBIs in the big inning. Junior Cameron Sewell added a double and two RBIs. Junior Elijah Havey also had a two-run double in the big inning. 

Senior Carson Joe picked up the pitching win. He gave up one unearned run on three hits while striking out seven and walking two in five and two-thirds innings. 

South Medford, which improved to 23-3, will play host to Canby in a second-round game Wednesday.

Senior Zach Frankovich had a double for Lincoln, which finished its season 14-14. 

Canby 2, Bend 1

Senior Mikey Gibson scored from third base on a wild pitch in the bottom of the fifth inning to give the Cougars the winning run at Canby High School.

The Lava Bears took a 1-0 lead in the third inning, when senior Zakeri Hazen scored on a sacrifice fly by senior Nate Koehler. 

Canby tied the score in the bottom of the inning. Senior Joe Brauckmiller singled to lead off the inning, and he moved to second on a sacrifice bunt by senior Theo Netter. Senior Bryce Oliver singled in Brauckmiller. 

Brauckmiller also picked up a complete-game pitching win, giving up just the one unearned run on one hit.

Canby, which improved to 16-12, will play at South Medford in a second-round game Wednesday.

Koehler also turned in a strong pitching performance, giving up two runs on five hits for Bend, which finished its season 11-15. 

Summit 12, Ida B. Wells 6

The Storm scored seven runs in the fifth inning, rallying from a 5-3 deficit, to get the win at Summit High School. 

Senior Zach Reynolds hit a home run to lead the way for Summit in the big inning. Senior Canon Reeder also hit a home run for the Storm, who also got two hits from senior Joe Schutz. Freshman Alex Via got the pitching win.

Summit, which improved to 17-9, will play at Mountainside in a second-round game Wednesday.

Junior Russell Petersen hit a two-run homer for Ida B. Wells, which finished its season 16-12.

Mountainside 9, Sandy 3

The Mavericks put together a strong offensive attack to get the win at Mountainside High School. 

Senior Andy Miller went 4 for 4 for Mountainside. Senior Tyler Christiansen went 2 for 3 with three RBIs.

Mountainside, which improved to 21-6, will play host to Summit in a second-round game Wednesday. Sandy finished its season 13-15. 

Clackamas 10, Century 0

Clackamas got a grand slam from senior Mo Mayers and a one-hitter from senior pitcher Jackson Jaha to power its way to a five-inning victory at Clackamas High School. 

Mayers hit his grand slam in the Cavaliers’ seven-run fourth inning. Jaha and senior Trevor Williams each drove in two runs for Clackamas.

Jaha, in his five innings on the mound, struck out six and walked none.

Clackamas, which improved to 24-4, will play host to Roseburg in a second-round game Wednesday.

Senior Jalen Ellis had the one hit for Century, which finished its season 13-14.

Lake Oswego 8, Mountain View 4

The Lakers came away with a big win on the road, taking the victory at Mountain View High School in Bend. 

Senior Elijah Maeda hit a home run for Lake Oswego. Senior Blaise Heher went 3 for 3, and senior Kellen Krebs and sophomore Vince Williams each added a double. 

Lake Oswego, which improved to 14-13, will play at Jesuit in a second-round game Wednesday.

Mountain View finished its season 18-8. 

Jesuit 10, South Eugene 0

The Crusaders received strong pitching and strong hitting to get a five-inning victory at Jesuit High School. 

Junior Noble Meyer pitched the first four innings for the Crusaders, giving up one hit while striking out nine and walking none. 

Junior Charlie Strum went 2 for 3 with four RBIs. Senior Nelson Keljo went 2 for 2 with a double and two RBIs. Junior Evan Williams scored three times.

Jesuit, which improved to 25-3, will play host to Lake Oswego in a second-round game Wednesday.

Senior Ewan Hadley and junior Leo Reeves had hits for South Eugene, which finished its season 8-18. 

Roseburg 11, Southridge 1

Roseburg scored seven runs in the bottom of the first inning on its way to a five-inning victory at Legion Field.

Junior Evan Corbin pitched all five innings, giving up three hits while striking out five and walking none. Senior Dominic Tatone went 3 for 4. Seniors Carson Dunn and Logan Klopfenstein added two hits apiece.

Roseburg, which improved to 18-8, will play at Clackamas in a second-round game Wednesday. Southridge finished its season 13-13.
