Here are the candidates for SBLive’s Oregon High School Team of the Week for May 23-29 as nominated by coaches, fans and readers. 

Read through the nominees and cast your vote. Voting will conclude Sunday at 11:59 p.m.

Bend softball

Bend (29-1) has outscored its three playoff foes by a combined 33-5, putting up the most runs in this year’s playoffs.

Canby baseball 

Canby (18-12) pulled off a 4-2 victory over No. 3 South Medford in the second round, followed by a 1-0 win over No. 6 Mountainside in the quarterfinals to advance to the 6A semifinals. 

Clackamas baseball 

Clackamas (26-4) outscored its three playoff opponents by a combined 19-3 to reach the 6A semifinals. The Cavaliers opened the postseason with a 10-0 mercy-rule victory.

Crescent Valley baseball

Crescent Valley (18-10) pulled off back-to-back road wins — 7-6 over No. 6 Ashland in the first round and 11-5 over No. 3 Thurston in the quarterfinals — to stay alive in the 5A bracket. 

Hidden Valley baseball

Hidden Valley (26-2) blitzed through the first two rounds of the 4A playoffs without surrendering a run, outscoring Baker and Junction City by a combined 24-0. 

La Grande softball

La Grande (18-7) outscored its first two playoff foes by a combined 18-4 to reach the 4A semifinals.

Lakeridge baseball

Lakeridge (25-5), the top seed in the 6A bracket, reached the semifinal round by dispatching its first three playoff opponents by a combined 22-3 score. That included a 5-inning mercy-rule victory in its opener. The Three Rivers League represents three of the final four spots in the 6A bracket.

Lebanon softball

Lebanon (24-5) blanked Ashland and Ridgeview by identical 10-0 scores with both games ending after five innings.

Marist Catholic softball

Marist Catholic (24-3) outscored its two 4A playoff foes by a combined 18-0 to reach the semifinal round.

McNary softball

McNary (24-5) notched a 13-3 mercy-rule win to open the playoffs, followed by a 9-2 victory over North Medford and a 2-0 shutout over Sheldon.

Oregon City softball

Oregon City (21-7) started the playoffs with a mercy-rule win over Reynolds before squeaking out one-run victories over Lakeridge and West Linn to reach the 6A semifinals.

Pendleton softball

Pendleton (26-2) outscored its two playoff opponents 13-1, including a mercy-rule win over The Dalles in the 5A quarterfinals.

Philomath baseball

Philomath (17-9) knocked off top-seed Banks 2-1 in Friday’s 4A quarterfinals after opening the playoffs with a 12-4 win over Henley on Wednesday.

Stayton softball

Stayton (22-5) shut out Cowapa champion Astoria 3-0 in the 4A quarterfinals after picking up a 7-2 first-round win over Marshfield. 

Tigard softball

Tigard (27-3) has not surrendered a run through the first three rounds of the 6A playoffs, outscoring its opponents by a combined 21-0. 

West Linn baseball

West Linn (23-7) outscored its three playoff foes by a combined 17-7 to reach the 6A semifinals. The Lions highlighted their run with a 4-0 shutout in the second round.

Willamette baseball

Willamette (23-3) pulled off back-to-back one-run victories over Northwest Oregon schools Scappoose and La Salle Prep to earn a spot in the 5A semifinals.

Wilsonville softball 

Wilsonville (26-3) outscored its first two playoff opponents by a combined 16-1 to reach the 5A semifinals.
