Here are the candidates for the WaFd Bank Oregon High School Softball Player of the Week for June 6-12 as nominated by coaches, fans and readers.

Nozomi Akin, Tigard

Ella Dardis, Tigard

The sophomore shortstop turned a clutch seventh-inning double play for the Tigers, fielding a grounder, sprinting to second base and then making a laser-beam throw to first, in their 1-0, 10-inning win over Oregon City in the Class 6A state championship game at Jane Sanders Stadium in Eugene. Lexie Gidcumb, Cascade

Reese Gardner, Oregon City

Chloe Grimmer, Oregon City

Makenna Reid, Tigard

The senior left-handed pitcher turned in a record-setting performance for the Tigers in their 1-0, 10-inning win over Oregon City in the Class 6A state championship game at Jane Sanders Stadium in Eugene. Lily Riley, Oregon City

The junior pitcher turned in a spectacular game in the circle for the Pioneers in their 1-0, 10-inning loss to Tigard in the Class 6A state championship game at Jane Sanders Stadium in Eugene. Riley, in her nine-plus innings, gave up one unearned run on three hits while striking out 14 and walking one. She also went 1 for 4 at the plate. (STORY, PHOTOS)

Karen Spadafora, Tigard

The junior catcher drove in the walk-off, game-winning run with a sharp single to left field in the 10th inning for the Tigers in their 1-0 win over Oregon City in the Class 6A state championship game at Jane Sanders Field in Eugene. Hannah Walliman, Cascade

The senior was the winning pitcher for the Cougars in their 3-2 win over Marist Catholic in the Class 4A state championship game at Jane Sanders Stadium in Eugene.
