Austin is a varsity letterman in football, basketball and baseball who thrives on setting goals and putting his all into achieving them. Austin started on the varsity football team at McMinnville High School his sophomore and junior seasons, earning 2nd team All-Conference honors his junior year with 1,018 yards rushing, 12 touchdowns, 247 yards receiving and two touchdowns. He was selected as the Roy Jespersen Underclassman Player of the Year by teammates. Academically, he has been consistently on the honor roll every year throughout high school. He plans to play collegiate football while majoring in pre-law and business.
