Meet the players for the 2022 Les Schwab Bowl: Kevin Cassidy (Team Willamette)

As a sophomore, Kevin was asked to transition from tight end and middle linebacker to become a starting offensive tackle for Mountainside High School.

The 2022 Les Schwab Bowl, a high school football all-star game featuring many of the Northwest’s top players, will take place Saturday, July 2, at Linfield University in McMinnville. Get your tickets here

As a sophomore, Kevin was asked to transition from tight end and middle linebacker to become a starting offensive tackle for Mountainside High School at the varsity level. In his first full year of playing the position, he received All-Metro honors. He has grown four inches and gained 100 pounds since his freshman year and is now 6-foot-6, 270 pounds. He is entrenched in his new position as an offensive and defensive lineman. Kevin is being recruited by several Pac-12 schools and is looking forward to his senior season. He was pulled up to compete on the Mountainside varsity basketball team that closed out the season with an appearance in the state tournament semifinals. Kevin holds a weighted 3.85 GPA and is involved in debate as well as the chess club. He enjoys all types of fishing, snowboarding and playing poker with his friends. Kevin is dedicated to achieving his goal of following in his dad’s footsteps by earning a football scholarship and competing at the highest level.
