Alex Adams of Valley Catholic voted the WaFd Bank Oregon High School Boys Athlete of the Week

Adams received 46.14% of the vote, beating out Elkton’s Christian Halstead, who finished second with 42.89%.

Congratulations to Valley Catholic’s Alex Adams for being voted SBLive’s WaFd Bank Oregon Boys Athlete of the Week for the week of Oct. 10-16. 

Adams, a freshman quarterback on the Valley Catholic football team, passed for 240 yards and two touchdowns, helping the Valiants get a 48-14 home win over Corbett, snapping the team’s 19-game losing streak. 

Adams received 46.14% of the vote, beating out Christian Halstead, a senior on the Elkton football team, who finished second with 42.89%. Jimmy Lathen, a senior on the West Salem football team, was third with 2.91% and Nywaun Campbell, a senior on the Roosevelt team, was fourth with 1.93%. There were more than 48,000 votes tallied this week.
