Andre Miller of Gresham voted the WaFd Bank Oregon High School Boys Athlete of the Week

Congratulations to Gresham’s Andre Miller for being voted SBLive’s WaFd Bank Oregon Boys Athlete of the Week for the week of Oct. 17-23.

Miller, a junior receiver/defensive back on the Gresham football team, shined for the Gophers on both sides of the ball in their 49-14 win over David Douglas. On offense, Miller had 147 yards from scrimmage, including four receptions for 115 yards. On defense, he had two interceptions, including one he returned for a touchdown, as well as five tackles. 

Miller received 51.54% of the vote, beating out Ridge Jantzi, a junior on the Salem Academy football team, who finished second with 45.64%. Tanner Starbuck, a sophomore on the Stayton football team, was third with 1.81% and Ty Borde, a senior on the Stayton football team, was fourth with 0.47%. There were more than 18,000 votes tallied this week.
