Mykah Mendoza of Roseburg voted the WaFd Bank Oregon High School Boys Basketball Athlete of the Week

Mendoza received 92.82% of the vote, beating out Junction City’s Kaleb Burnett, who finished second with 1.67%.

Congratulations to Roseburg’s Mykah Mendoza for being voted SBLive’s WaFd Bank Oregon Boys Basketball Player of the Week for the week of Jan. 30-Feb. 5. 

Mendoza, a junior wing on the Roseburg team, sank four 3-pointers and added a couple of thunderous dunks on his way to scoring a game-high 22 points in a 73-46 win over Sheldon in a Southwest Conference game at Roseburg High School. 

Mendoza received 92.82% of the vote, beating out Kaleb Burnett, a senior on the Junction City team, who finished second with 1.67%. Jared Sucher, a senior on the Sherwood team, was third with 1.17% and Drew Hall, a sophomore on the Cascade Christian team, and Boden Howell, a sophomore on the South Medford team, tied for fourth, each with 0.67%.
