Joey Banry of North Eugene voted the WaFd Bank Oregon High School Boys Basketball Athlete of the Week

Banry received 77.42% of the vote, beating out North Eugene’s Elias McKinnis, who finished second with 16.42%.

Congratulations to North Eugene’s Joey Banry for being voted SBLive’s WaFd Bank Oregon Boys Basketball Player of the Week for the week of Feb. 6-12. 

Banry, a junior guard on the North Eugene team, tallied a game-high 18 points to go with seven assists, three steals, two rebounds and two blocks in helping the league-leading Highlanders post an 89-62 home win over Crater in a Midwestern League contest. 

Banry received 77.42% of the vote, beating out Elias McKinnis, a junior on the North Eugene team, who finished second with 16.42%. Reid Gray, a senior on the Nelson team, was third with 3.02% and Moroni Seely-Roberts, a senior on the Lincoln team, was fourth with 1.02%. There were more than 4,000 votes tallied this week.
