Mia Brownson of Century voted the WaFd Bank Oregon High School Girls Basketball Athlete of the Week

Brownson received 50.10% of the vote, beating out North Eugene’s Ikunday Filipe, who finished second with 20.77%.

Congratulations to Century’s Mia Brownson for being voted SBLive’s WaFd Bank Oregon Girls Basketball Player of the Week for the week of Feb. 13-19. 

Brownson, a freshman guard on the Century team, scored a team-high 24 points while also having six rebounds, two assists and a steal for the Jaguars in their 58-43 setback at Forest Grove in a Pacific Conference game. She had 12 points, seven rebounds, three assists and two steals in a 46-45 win over Glencoe. 

Brownson received 50.10% of the vote, beating out Ikunday Filipe, a sophomore on the North Eugene team, who finished second with 20.77%. Sabrina Flowers, a junior on the Sherwood team, was third with 17.67% and Nichole Noffsinger, a senior on the Yoncalla team, was fourth with 8.10%. There were nearly 26,000 votes tallied this week.
