Bryson Nygren of Regis voted the WaFd Bank Oregon High School Baseball Athlete of the Week

Congratulations to Regis’ Bryson Nygren for being voted SBLive’s WaFd Bank Oregon Baseball Player of the Week for the week of April 17-23. 

Nygren, a sophomore pitcher on the Regis team, threw a five-inning shutout, allowing two hits while striking out eight and walking three, in addition to scoring twice and driving in two runs for the Rams in their 11-0 victory at Central Linn in a Special District 3 contest.

Nygren received 65.41% of the vote, beating out Casey Allsop, a senior on the Gladstone team, who finished second with 33.88%. Connor Moloney, a sophomore on the Thurston team, and Connor Parry, a sophomore on the Sherwood team, tied for third, each getting 0.14%. There were nearly 7,000 votes tallied this week.
