Bend softball

Bend (17-2) took command in the Intermountain Conference by not allowing a run in a three-game series against second-place Ridgeview. The Lava Bears won the three games by a combined score of 36-0.

Central Catholic baseball

Central Catholic (11-7) stayed atop the Mt. Hood Conference by sweeping a three-game set against Gresham by a combined score of 42-6, including a season-high 20-run outburst in Friday’s finale.

Crater softball

Crater (11-5) swept past fellow league contender Eagle Point 9-0, 14-5 on Friday, after claiming a 12-3 win over the Eagles at the start of the week. The Comets outscored Churchill by a combined 41-3 in a Wednesday doubleheader.

Dallas softball

Dallas (15-1) stayed atop the Mid-Willamette Conference with a 3-0 shutout over second-place Silverton on Monday. The Dragons added a 7-0 shutout over West Albany on Wednesday and won 5-1 at Corvallis on Friday.

Grants Pass softball

Grants Pass (15-6) swept a doubleheader 11-1, 13-5 at Willamette on Wednesday after opening the week with a 10-5 win at Roseburg on Tuesday.

Hermiston girls track

The Hermiston girls totaled 219.5 points to win their host Twilight meet Friday. Alondra Risueno won the 100 (12.77) and 200 (26.70), Jaquelin Garcia Sanchez won the 800 (2:24.95), Elizabeth Newman won the two-mile (11:21.81) and the Bulldogs swept all three relay races. In the field, Alexis Ackerman won the javelin (107-3), Avonlea Edwards won the hammer throw (107-3) and Jenna Jared won the triple jump (32-8).

Lake Oswego baseball

Lake Oswego (17-1) swept a three-game set against Tigard, highlighted by a 4-3 road win Wednesday. The Lakers came up with a season-high output in Friday’s 13-8 victory.

Lake Oswego girls track

The Lake Oswego girls scored 45.2 points to win Friday’s Nike Jesuit Twilight Relays by half-a-point over runner-up Tigard. Mia Brahe-Pedersen won the elite-field 100-meter final in 11.07 seconds. She ran the second leg on the Lakers’ winning 400-meter relay (47.43), was the anchor on the winning 800 relay (1:40.51) and was again second leg on the team’s winning 1,600 relay (3:51.32). In the field, Casey Moran took second in the discus.

Lebanon girls track

The Lebanon girls swept a four-team league meet Wednesday at McKay, highlighted by a 76-65 dual win over Dallas in their closest challenge of the afternoon. The Warriors did most of their scoring in the field events with Teagen Cornell leading a 1-2 finish in the shot put (34-feet, 0.5-inch), while Aurora Torresi paced a 1-2-3 sweep in the javelin (116-9). Lebanon finished first and second in the three jumps with Hayden Knutson winning the triple (31-7.5), Addilynne Pickles winning the long (16-3.75) and Lilli Kranz winning the high (4-8).

Madras baseball

Madras (14-5) stayed in contention in the Tri-Valley Conference with a 10-7 win at first-place Gladstone on Friday. The White Buffaloes took two from Estacada 11-4 and 8-6 to start the week and finished with a 19-2 blowout at Molalla on Saturday.

McDaniel softball

McDaniel (10-7) swept a Friday doubleheader at Franklin 5-4, 9-6 in a battle for the top of the PIL. The Mountain Lions scored a season-high 26 runs in a win at Lincoln on Thursday.

Nelson softball

Nelson (12-6) moved to the top of the Mt. Hood Conference with wins over fellow contenders Sandy, 9-4 on Monday, and Central Catholic, 9-1 on Friday. The Hawks added a 13-7 win over Gresham in the middle of the week.

North Bend boys track

The North Bend boys piled up 214 points to win Friday’s six-school Coos County meet. Jason Padgett won the 100 (11.41) and 200 (23.30), while Nathaniel Folsom won the 400 (54.17) and Miles Washington swept the hurdles races. In the field events, Keegan Young won the javelin (166-10) and Brody Justice won the pole vault (13-6).

Oregon City softball

Oregon City (16-3) sits in first place in the Three Rivers League after piling up four wins last week. The Pioneers opened the week with an 8-6 win at second-place Tigard and ended the week with a 9-0 shutout over West Linn on Friday.

Scappoose baseball

Scappoose (14-2) remains the class of the Cowapa League after an 8-2 win over St. Helens on Thursday, followed by a 10-0 shutout over Seaside on Friday.

Sherwood softball

Sherwood (14-3) finished the week atop the Pacific Conference after a series of hard-fought wins, highlighted by a 4-3 win over McMinnville on Friday. The Bowmen opened the week with a 3-1 win over Newberg, followed the next day by a 3-0 shutout at Glencoe.

South Salem baseball

South Salem (15-3) moved to the top of the Central Valley by taking two of three in a series against Sprague. After dropping the opener, the Saxons rebounded with a 5-2 win Wednesday and took Friday’s finale 11-10.

Summit boys track

The Summit boys won Friday’s Nike Jesuit Twilight Relays with 50.33 points. Noah Goodrich won the triple jump with a personal-best effort of 46-feet, 2-inches. Evans Peters took second in the long jump and Collin Moore was third in the high jump.

The Dalles softball

The Dalles (14-3) took charge in the Tri-Valley Conference by sweeping two from second-place Crook County, 5-2 and 10-3, before ending the week with a 15-5 mercy-rule win over another contender in Estacada.

Thurston baseball

Thurston (15-3) remained atop the Midwestern League with a three-game sweep over Churchill, putting a couple of mercy-rule wins around a tight 8-7 victory.

West Albany baseball

West Albany (13-5) opened the week with a hard-fought 1-0 win over Silverton before blowing out the Foxes 14-1 on Wednesday. The Bulldogs ended the week with a convincing 10-3 win over South Albany.

Westview softball

Westview (11-8) moved to the top of the Metro League with three wins last week, including two by the mercy rule. The Wildcats added a 4-1 win at Sunset in the middle of the stretch.
