Konold finished with 1,023 rushing yards, second to Hood River Valley’s Shaw Burns (1,059) in the Northwest Oregon Conference and the most by any Class 5A or 6A player with fewer than 100 carries.
Last season was Konold’s second consecutive 1,000-yard season. In 2021, he gained 1,651 yards in 11 games (150.1 yards per game) with an average per carry of 10.3 yards.
