Kelsie Phillips of Churchill voted the WaFd Bank Oregon High School Softball Athlete of the Week

Phillips received 39.72% of the vote, beating out West Linn’s Rylee Gaustad, who finished second with 31.98%.

Congratulations to Churchill’s Kelsie Phillips for being voted SBLive’s WaFd Bank Oregon Softball Player of the Week for the week of May 15-21. 

Phillips, a junior on the Churchill team, had a huge performance in helping the Lancers notch a doubleheader sweep at North Eugene in Midwestern League play. In the two games, she went 6 for 8 with a grand slam, two doubles, a triple, two stolen bases, five runs and 11 RBIs. 

Phillips received 39.72% of the vote, beating out Rylee Gaustad, a junior on West Linn team, who finished second with 31.98%. Alexia Diven, a junior on the North Eugene team, was third with 10.16% and Violet Richardson, a senior on the South Umpqua team, was fourth with 8.79%. There were more than 58,000 votes tallied this week.
