Here are the candidates for the WaFd Bank Oregon High School Softball Player of the Week for May 29-June 4 as nominated by coaches, fans and readers.

Kennedy Abbas, The Dalles

The senior threw a five-inning shutout, allowing one hit while striking out five and walking none in helping the Riverhawks post a 16-0 win over Henley in the Class 4A state championship game at Jane Sanders Stadium in Eugene.

Gina Allen, Oregon City

The senior shortstop went 2 for 3 while also shining in the field for the Pioneers in a 1-0 loss to Sheldon in the Class 6A state championship game at Jane Sanders Stadium.

Payton Burnham, Sheldon

The junior threw a complete-game shutout, allowing five hits while striking out 17 and walking none in helping the Irish edge Oregon City 1-0 in the Class 6A state championship game at Jane Sanders Stadium. She spun a one-hit shutout, striking out 16 and walking none in leading the Irish to a 2-0 win over Sherwood in a Class 6A state playoff semifinal game.

Avery Coffin, Sheldon

The junior shortstop went 2 for 3 with a solo home run for the Irish in a 2-0 victory against Sherwood in a Class 6A state playoff semifinal game at Sheldon High School.

Myleigh Cooper, Scio

The sophomore spun a complete-game shutout, allowing two hits while striking out 18 and walking two in leading the Loggers to a 1-0 home win over Lakeview in a Class 3A state playoff semifinal contest. She had a double and drove in the only run of the game. She threw a 12-inning complete game, allowing one unearned run on three hits while striking out 16 and walking two in a 1-0 loss to Burns/Crane in the Class 3A state championship game.

Lily Crowe, Willamina

The sophomore went 2 for 3 with a stolen base and an RBI for the Bulldogs in their 7-2 home loss against Weston-McEwen/Griswold in a Class 2A/1A state playoff semifinal game.

Ayla Davies, Burns/Crane

The junior had a huge game for the Hilanders in their 1-0, 12-inning win over Scio in the Class 3A state championship game at Jane Sanders Stadium. She allowed three hits while striking out a state-record 23 batters and walking three. In a 4-2 semifinal win over Yamhill-Carlton, she gave up two runs on three hits while striking out 16 and walking one. At the plate, she went 4 for 4 with a home run.

Lily Fitzpatrick, Henley

The senior catcher went 4 for 5 with two doubles, a run and two RBIs for the Hornets in their 11-10 eight-inning win over Pendleton in a Class 4A state playoff semifinal game at Henley High School.

Reese Furstenberg, Pendleton

The sophomore went 3 for 5 with two doubles, two runs and an RBI for the Buckaroos in their 11-10 loss at Henley in a Class 4A state playoff semifinal contest.

Alivia Holden, Lebanon

The senior had a huge game to help the Warriors post a 4-3 victory at Bend in a Class 5A state playoff semifinal game. She went 2 for 4 with a double and three RBIs. She picked up the pitching win, giving up three runs (one earned) on four hits while striking out eight.

Natalie Hudson, Henley
The sophomore shortstop went 2 for 3 with two runs and two RBIs, including a walk-off single in the eighth inning for the Hornets in their 11-10 home win over Pendleton in a Class 4A state playoff semifinal game.

Reece Jacobs, Grant Union/Prairie City

The sophomore went 3 for 3 and scored a run for the Prospectors in their 5-2 home win over Kennedy in a Class 2A/1A state playoff semifinal contest.

Olivia Gilhuber, Sheldon

The junior outfielder went 2 for 2 with a home run to help the Irish edge Sherwood 2-0 in a Class 6A state playoff semifinal contest at Sheldon High School.

Tyler McNeley, Lakeview

The senior turned in a strong performance for the Honkers, allowing one run on three hits while striking out 13 and walking four in a 1-0 loss at Scio in a Class 3A state playoff semifinal game.

Addy Northway, Grant Union/Prairie City

The sophomore catcher went 3 for 4 and scored three runs for the Prospectors in their 10-0 victory against Weston-McEwen in the Class 2A/1A state championship game at Jane Sanders Stadium.

Bailey Moore, Weston-McEwen/Griswold

The junior catcher, batting in the leadoff spot, went 2 for 4 with a double, a run and an RBI for the TigerScots in their 7-2 victory at Willamina in a Class 2A/1A state playoff semifinal game.

Kadence Morrison, Dallas

The junior left-hander spun a three-hit shutout, striking out 14 and walking one in pacing the Dragons in their 2-0 win over Wilsonville in a Class 5A state playoff semifinal game at Dallas High School.

Genevieve Osburg, Lebanon

The sophomore catcher went 2 for 3 with a double and two RBIs for the Warriors in their 6-5 eight-inning loss to Dallas in the Class 5A state championship game at Jane Sanders Stadium.

Cecelia Petraitis, Yamhill-Carlton

The sophomore hit a two-run homer for the Tigers in their 4-2 home loss to Burns/Crane in a Class 3A state playoff semifinal game.

Lily Riley, Oregon City

The junior threw a complete-game no-hitter, giving up one unearned run while striking out nine and walking none in a 1-0 loss to Sheldon in the Class 6A state championship game at Jane Sanders Stadium. She turned in a complete-game performance, giving up one run on four hits while striking out seven and walking one for the Pioneers in their 2-1 home win over South Medford in a Class 6A state playoff semifinal game.

Madison Ruman, Dallas

The sophomore went 3 for 4 and scored a run to help the Dragons edge Lebanon 6-5 in eight innings in the Class 5A state championship game at Jane Sanders Stadium. She went 1 for 2 with a double, a walk, a run and an RBI to help the Dragons tip Wilsonville 1-0 in a Class 5A state playoff semifinal game at Dallas High School.

Layliana Segura, Henley

The freshman outfielder smacked a three-run homer to help the Hornets tip Pendleton 11-10 in eight innings in a Class 4A state playoff semifinal game at Henley High School.

Despina Seufalemua, The Dalles

The sophomore went 3 for 4 with two doubles, two runs and three RBIs to help power the Riverhawks to a 16-0 win over Henley in the Class 4A state championship game at Jane Sanders Stadium.

Jeilane Stewart, The Dalles

The junior outfielder went 2 for 4 with a home run to dead center field, three runs and three RBIs to help the Riverhawks run to a 16-0 win over Henley in the Class 4A state championship game at Jane Sanders Stadium. She went 2 for 4 with a home run in a 3-1 home win over Scappoose in a semifinal contest.

Chloe Stromme, Oregon City

The sophomore third baseman hit a two-out, two-run single in the bottom of the fourth inning to help the Pioneers edge South Medford 2-1 in a Class 6A state playoff semifinal contest at Oregon City High School.

Macy Temple, Burns/Crane

The senior outfielder went 2 for 5 and scored the only run of the contest for the Hilanders in their 1-0, 12-inning win over Scio in the Class 3A state championship game at Jane Sanders Stadium.

Savannah Watterson, Grant Union/Prairie City

The sophomore shortstop went 2 for 3 with a triple, a run and two RBIs for the Prospectors in their 10-0 victory against Weston-McEwen/Griswold in the Class 2A/1A state championship game at Jane Sanders Stadium.

Drewsey Williams, Grant Union/Prairie City

The junior threw a six-inning shutout, allowing three hits while striking out 10 and walking one for the Prospectors in their 10-0 win over Weston-McEwen/Griswold in the Class 2A/1A state championship game at Jane Sanders Stadium.

Sammantha Wilks, Pendleton

The senior third baseman went 2 for 5 with a home run, two runs and two RBIs for the Buckaroos in their 11-10 loss at Henley in a Class 4A state playoff semifinal contest.
