Here are the candidates for SBLive’s Oregon High School Team of the Week as nominated by coaches, fans and readers.

Adrian boys track

The Adrian boys tallied 57 points to win the small-school title in Eugene. Jace Martin swept the sprints, winning the 100 (10.95), 200 (22.02) and 400 (50.94), and he ran the anchor leg of the winning 1,600 relay (3:32.25). He finished the meet with 32.5 points. Teammate Colten Bayes led the way in the field with a runner-up finish in the triple jump.

Bandon girls track

The Bandon girls won the 2A team title with 61 points to edge Heppner by three points. Marley Petrey won the 300 hurdles (46.70) and the long jump (5.10). Danielle McLain finished third in the 1,500 and 3,000 distance races, beating a couple of Heppner racers to the line in each race to provide the difference in the final team scoring.

Banks baseball

Banks (27-3) knocked off No. 1 seed Cascade Christian 3-0 in Saturday’s 3A championship game. Banks scored twice in the first inning for a lead it would never surrender. Banks pitcher Wyatt Hesselman struck out nine batters, allowing three hits.

Burns softball

Burns (29-0) finished a perfect season with a 1-0 shutout over Scio in Saturday’s 3A final. Pitcher Ayla Davies set a title game record with 23 strikeouts. Burns shut out 18 opponents this season and allowed two runs in its four playoff games.

Coquille girls track

The Coquille girls team scored 66 points to win the 3A team title by seven points over runner-up Cascade Christian. Holli Vigue won the discus (38.34), and Callie Millet (38.33) and Trinidy Blanton (35.63) combined for a 1-2 finish in the javelin. Reagan Krantz cleared 3.28 meters to win the pole vault.

Dallas softball

Top-seeded Dallas (26-4) notched a 6-5 win over Lebanon in extra innings for the 5A title Saturday. Madison Ruman went 3 for 4, and Kadence Morrison struck out 12 batters.

Damascus Christian girls track

The Damascus Christian girls team scored 67 points to win the small-school state title by three points over Adrian and Crane. The Eagles had Ava Mai finish second in the long jump and 300 hurdles, and Tay Balensifer was second in the high jump. Damascus Christian was second in the 400 relay.

East Linn Christian boys track

The East Linn Christian boys won the 2A title with 53 points, beating runner-up Weston-McEwen by six points. Aidan Morgan won the high hurdles (15.43), and Kaleo Wellman won the long jump (6.71) and triple jump (13.63).

Grant Union softball

Grant Union (26-3) earned a 10-0 win over Weston-McEwen in Saturday’s small-school championship game. Leadoff hitter Addy Northway went 3 for 4 and scored three times. Drewsey Williams struck out 10 batters.

Jesuit boys lacrosse

The Crusaders defeated West Linn 10-4 to clinch their second consecutive boys lacrosse state title.

Jesuit girls lacrosse

The Crusaders beat Lake Oswego 15-10 to win their third consecutive girls lacrosse state title.

Kennedy baseball

Top-seeded Kennedy (31-0) completed a perfect season with a 10-0 shutout over Blanchet Catholic for the small-school title Saturday. Matt Hopkins was 3 for 3 with a double, and Ethan Kleinschmit struck out nine batters.

Lake Oswego girls track

The Lake Oswego girls team totaled 77 points to tie Tualatin atop the big-school leaderboard at the state meet in Eugene. Mia Brahe-Pedersen won the 100 (11.00) and 200 (22.65), and Josie Donelson won the 400 (53.94) and the 300 hurdles (42.60). The Lakers swept both relay races, winning the 1,600 race in a state-record 3:48.78 to give them enough points to pull into a tie for the team trophy.

Lincoln boys track

The Lincoln boys scored 55 points to win the 6A crown by four points over runner-up Sheldon. Alexander Rhodes won the 400 (48.52) and Grant Nyhus won the triple jump (13.42 meters), and the Cardinals won the 1,600 relay (3:22.07).

Marshfield boys track

The Marshfield boys claimed the 4A crown with 70.5 points to edge Pendleton by 6.5 points. Bodey Lutes won the 400 (48.29), Alexander Garcia-Silver won the 1,500 (4:03.68) and 3,000 (8:31.08), and Jonathon Parks (4.57) and Trent Summers (4.50) combined for a 1-2 finish in the pole vault.

Philomath girls track

The Philomath girls won the 4A title with 90 points. Natalie Dunn won the 400 (58.32), and Janice Hellesto won the long jump (5.36).

Scappoose baseball

Top-seeded Scappoose (27-2) recorded a 12-2 mercy-rule win over Pendleton on Saturday to claim the 4A state title. Quinton Olson and Max Nowlin each connected for three hits. Scappoose scored in each of the last three innings for the comeback victory, ending it early with a seven-run burst in the sixth.

Sheldon softball

Top-seeded Sheldon (30-1) won the 6A title with a 1-0 win over Oregon City on Saturday. The Irish did not register a hit during the game, but Brooke Peterson reached base after being hit by a pitch in the seventh inning. She scored on an obstruction call to end the game.

Siuslaw boys track

The Siuslaw boys won the 3A title Friday with 90 points. Samuel Ulrich won the 800 (1:55.20) and was second in the 1,500, Jonathan Rose won the discus (43.20), and Kyle Hughes won the pole vault (4.57).

Summit boys track

The Summit boys won the 5A crown with 118.5 points in Eugene. Spencer Elliott won the shot put (16.08 meters), Noah Goodrich won the triple jump (13.91), and Benjamin Strang won the 300 hurdles (39.31).

Summit girls track

The Summit girls won the 5A title with 99 points in Eugene. Barrett Justema won the 1,500 (4:30.69) and Isabella Sanderi won the high jump (1.63 meters).

The Dalles softball

The Dalles (26-3) earned a 16-0 win over No. 1 seed Henley in Saturday’s 4A title game. Jeilane Stewart had a home run for the Riverhawks, and pitcher Kennedy Abbas gave up one hit and struck out five batters.

Thurston baseball

Thurston (28-3), the No. 2 seed, notched a 2-1 win over West Albany to win the 5A crown Saturday. Colts pitcher Connor Molony allowed four hits and struck out three.

Tualatin girls track

The Tualatin girls tallied 77 points to tie Lake Oswego for the big-school team title. Lauren Ayers won the 3,000 (10:01.57) and was runner-up in the 1,500, and Elizabeth Graham was second in the long jump. The Timberwolves finished second in the 1,600 relay — 1.64 seconds ahead of Jesuit to claim enough team points for a share of the title.

West Linn baseball

Top-seeded West Linn (26-6) won the big-school state title with a 2-0 shutout over No. 2 Jesuit on Saturday. Drake Gabel scattered six hits, and the Lions did not allow a runner to get beyond second base. West Linn recorded 11 shutouts this season.
