Andrew Demianew of Pendleton voted the WaFd Bank Oregon High School Baseball Athlete of the Week

Demianew received 53.77% of the vote, beating out Banks’ Lane Gilbert, who finished second with 40.82%.

Congratulations to Pendleton’s Andrew Demianew for being voted SBLive’s WaFd Bank Oregon Baseball Player of the Week for the week of May 29-June 4. 

Demianew, a senior on the Pendleton team, went 3 for 4 with three runs and an RBI for the Buckaroos in their 9-0 win at Gladstone in a Class 4A state playoff semifinal contest. He went 2 for 3 with a triple, a run and an RBI in a 12-2 loss to Scappoose in the Class 4A state championship game.

Demianew received 53.77% of the vote, beating out Lane Gilbert, a freshman on the Banks team, who finished second with 40.82%. Jack Lieuallen, a senior on the Pendleton team, was third with 2.80% and Logan Kind, a senior on the Banks team, was fourth with 1.36%. There were nearly 19,000 votes tallied this week.
