The Oregon high school football season is scheduled to begin Thursday, Aug. 31 — 65 days from today. As we count down the days until kickoff, SBLive Oregon will give you one significant number per day.

65

Brayden Libby of Westview threw 65 passes in an OSAA Class 6A first-round playoff game at Tualatin in 2019, the most passes reported by a Class 6A or 5A player in the past five seasons.

Libby finished that game 30 of 65 for 378 yards (career highs in all three categories) in Week 10 of 2019. He totaled four touchdown passes, the second-most in his career, with one interception.

Two Class 5A quarterbacks have thrown 60 passes in a game in the past five seasons: Forest Grove’s Jarod Miller in Week 2 of 2018 (34 of 60, 349 yards, three touchdowns and two interceptions) and Ashland’s Ronin Kimbrough in Week 2 of the fall 2021 season (31 of 60, 332 yards, two touchdowns and one interception).
