The Oregon high school football season is scheduled to begin Thursday, Aug. 31 — 53 days from today. As we count down the days until kickoff, SBLive Oregon will give you one significant number per day.

Silverton entered that Mid-Willamette Conference game without No. 1 running back Jackson Pfeifer. In stepped Briseno — who hadn’t carried the ball 10 times combined through three weeks — and he rushed 15 times for 141 yards and the three scores.

The win over Dallas was the Foxes’ second in what became a 12-game winning streak, capped by a victory in the OSAA Class 5A final.
