The Oregon high school football season is scheduled to begin Thursday, Aug. 31 — 51 days from today. As we count down the days until kickoff, SBLive Oregon will give you one significant number per day.

Brandt intercepted 11 passes that season — the most in one season by a Class 6A or 5A player dating to 2018. In addition to the touchdowns on the interceptions, he returned a punt 75 yards for a score that season.

Based on reported stats, the most touchdowns scored on defense and special teams in one season since 2018 is seven by Tigard’s Max Lenzy in 2019. The most by a Class 5A player in one season is six, by Tyler Creswick of Putnam of Milwaukie in 2022.
