The Oregon high school football season is scheduled to begin Thursday, Aug. 31 — 50 days from today. As we count down the days until kickoff, SBLive Oregon will give you one significant number per day.

50

Points allowed by West Linn in the six-game spring 2021 season.

The Lions were among four Class 6A teams to go 6-0 in spring 2021, and they gave up fewer points than any of the other five Class 6A undefeateds.

The OSAA did not stage a postseason that spring, but SBLive produced a metric that evaluated all of the teams that got through the first five games of the season without a loss.

Below are the points scored, points allowed and scoring margin for the four spring 2021 undefeated Class 6A teams:

West Linn – 228, 50 – 178

West Salem – 231, 61 – 170

Sunset – 241, 86 – 155

Mountain View – 220, 77 – 143
