Kodi Wardlaw blocked a 37-yard field goal attempt with less than two minutes left to preserve Thurston’s 13-12 win over West Albany in the first round of the 2022 OSAA Class 5A playoffs.
The block of the 37-yard field goal try was Wardlaw’s second blocked kick of the game. He also blocked the Bulldogs’ conversion kick after their first touchdown, keeping the Colts of Springfield ahead, 7-6 – the one-point margin matched by the final score.
