The Oregon high school football season is scheduled to begin Thursday, Aug. 31 — 35 days from today. As we count down the days until kickoff, SBLive Oregon will give you one significant number per day.

Longest streak of games, dating to the start of the 2013 season, that a team has scored at least 20 points — achieved by Jesuit of Southwest Portland and Scappoose.

Jesuit’s streak started in Week 2 of 2014 — in a loss, 29-27, to Sheldon at Cronin Field. The Crusaders won all but one other game during the streak, the exception a 42-41 loss at Tigard in the 2014 quarterfinals.

The Crusaders’ streak ended in the 2016 OSAA Class 6A quarterfinals, with a 21-9 loss to Central Catholic.

Scappoose’s run of 20-point games began in Week 6 of 2013 with a 56-7 Cowapa League victory over Yamhill-Carlton. Scappoose posted a 28-7 record in its 35-game streak, which ended in Week 7 of 2016 in a 20-7 loss at Valley Catholic of Beaverton.

Three other programs during the past 10 seasons have had streaks of at least 30 games with 20 points each:

Lake Oswego – 34 (started Week 8 2016; ended Sept. 27, 2019)

Churchill – 33 (started Week 1, 2016; ended Week 1, 2019)

Cascade – 30 (started Week 3, 2019; ended Week 7, 2022)
