Holden Phillips, who was listed on Mountainside’s OSAA roster as a defensive end/tight end, kicked the decisive extra point for the Mavericks in a 31-30, two-overtime victory at Westview in Week 5 of 2022.

The overtime extra point was only one of the ways Phillips contributed in the win by the Mavericks of Beaverton. He kicked a 36-yard field goal in the third quarter, drawing Mountainside within one point, 18-17, of the Wildcats. He caught a touchdown pass (and kicked the extra point) to stake the Mavericks to a 24-18 lead midway through the fourth quarter.

The game is the only one in Mountainside’s five-season history known to have gone to two overtimes.
