Here are the candidates for SBLive’s Oregon High School Team of the Week for Jan. 15-21 as nominated by coaches, fans and readers.

Caldera boys basketball

The Wolfpack won 54-48 at Mountain View for their fourth consecutive win in Intermountain Conference play, putting Caldera in a tie with Summit for first place in the conference standings at 4-0 (9-5 overall). Senior forward Trace Benner had 12 points and nine rebounds.

Canby wrestling

The Cougars clawed their way to the championship at the Tigard Tournament at Tigard High School. Canby triumphed with 448 points. Sprague was second with 300.5. The Cougars crowned seven individual champions in Trey Smith (106 pounds), Dean Williams (120), Nico Yazzolino (138), Matthew Young (144), Isaiah Parsons (165), James Keinonen (175) and Jackson Doman (215).

Cascade Christian girls basketball

The Challengers posted a 62-15 home win over South Umpqua in Far West League play and bested Coquille, which entered the game 15-1, to move to 6-0 in league games and 11-5 overall. Junior forward Jordynn Jones had a total of 28 points, 13 rebounds, 10 assists and eight steals in the two victories.

Central Catholic boys basketball

The Rams notched a 65-52 win over Pacifica Christian, Calif., during play at the MLK Dream Classic at St. John Bosco in Los Angeles. Central Catholic, which improved to 10-3, got 20 points, eight rebounds and five steals from junior Duce Paschal and 17 points, eight assists and seven rebounds from sophomore Zamir Paschal.

Crater wrestling

The Comets powered their way to a 63-15 victory over North Medford in a nonleague dual match at Crater High School. Aidan Godley (132 pounds), Ryland Walters (138), Jose Cortez (165), Caleb Canfield (190) and Justin Brehm (285) won by fall. The Comets then recorded a 63-6 win over Eagle Point in a Midwestern League bout.

Crosshill Christian girls basketball

The Eagles picked up their seventh consecutive victory, soaring to a home 50-25 win over Camas Valley in a Casco League contest. Crosshill Christian improved to 4-0 in league play and 11-2 overall. Senior guard Claire Fish scored 13 points.

Grant girls skiing

The Generals claimed victory at the Mt. Hood Conference giant slalom event at Mt. Hood Meadows. Grant had a winning team time of 2 minutes, 39.13 seconds. Hood River Valley finished second with a time of 2:44.67. The Generals were led by Josephine Bourgault, who finished second in the individual standings with her mark of 51.40. Teammate Lily Albright was third at 52.87.

Hillsboro wrestling

The Spartans battled their way to the championship at the Southridge Tournament at Southridge High School. Hillsboro took first place at the nine-team event with 365 points. Forest Grove was second with 277.5. The Spartans crowned four individual titlists in Kye Schertenleib (132 pounds), Skyler Salzman (150), Preston Echeverria (190) and Cody Stubbs (285).

Hood River Valley boys skiing

The Eagles triumphed in the Mt. Hood Conference giant slalom event at Mt. Hood Meadows with a team time of 2 minutes, 42.90 seconds. Grant finished in second place with a time of 3:04.14. The Eagles were led by Thorsen Welch, who was the individual winner with a time of 50.47.

Jesuit boys skiing

The Crusaders raced to victory at the Metro League slalom event at Mt. Hood Meadows. Jesuit claimed first place with a team time of 3 minutes, 13.67 seconds. Oregon Episcopal School was second with a mark of 3:18.95. Joe Ferguson led the Crusaders to the victory, as he was the individual winner with his two-run time of 1:00.27.

Klamath Union girls basketball

The Pelicans ran to a 67-30 victory at Phoenix to move to 1-0 in Skyline Conference play and 10-1 overall. Senior guard/forward Dianara Peña scored 23 points, and junior center Andi Harmon had 20 points and seven rebounds.

Mazama wrestling

The Vikings defeated Marshfield 48-27 and topped Phoenix 75-6 in a Skyline Conference double dual match at Phoenix High School. Juan Rodriguez, at 144 pounds, won both of his matches by fall to help lead Mazama to the sweep.

McNary girls basketball

The Celtics posted a 75-67 overtime win over West Salem in a Central Valley Conference showdown at McNary High School. McNary improved to 3-0 in CVC play and 10-5 overall. West Salem moved to 3-1 in conference games and 8-8 overall. Senior Avery Buss scored 31 points, and senior Ava Rubio had 20 points, 16 rebounds and eight assists.

North Eugene boys basketball

The Highlanders triumphed 72-49 against Ashland in a Midwestern League game at North Eugene High School for their fifth consecutive victory and their 13th in the past 14 games. Senior India Mohiuddin had 12 points, five rebounds, three assists, six steals and a block for North Eugene, which improved to 4-0 in league play and 14-2 overall.

Redmond girls wrestling

The Panthers claimed the championship at the Lady Dragon Invitational at Dallas High School. Redmond triumphed at the 35-team event with 178 points. Dallas finished in second place with 159. Mia Pedersen, at 120 pounds, and MacKenzie Shearon, at 155, won individual titles.

Roseburg boys swimming

Roseburg edged South Medford 104-102 in a Southwest Conference dual meet at the YMCA of Douglas County. The meet came down to the final race, the 400-yard freestyle relay, where the Roseburg team of Cameron McDonald, Sam McGinnis, Zach McDowell and Jonathan Hlavinka triumphed in a time of 3 minutes, 50.6 seconds.

Roseburg turned in a strong performance to top South Medford 143-62 in a Southwest Conference dual meet at the YMCA of Douglas County. Alana Howard triumphed in the 200 and 500-yard freestyle events.

South Medford girls basketball

The Panthers moved to 3-0 in Southwest Conference play and 12-3 overall with a 50-40 victory over Grants Pass, their eighth win in a row, at South Medford High School. Sophomore guard Taylor Young scored a game-high 20 points, and junior Sara Schmerbach added 17.

South Medford girls swimming

The Panthers swept a four-team meet, beating Crater 131-49, downing Sprague 131-55 and besting Ashland 134-42 in a meet held at the Rogue Credit Union Community Complex in Medford. Ellie Carson won the 200-yard freestyle and 100 backstroke, Jazmin Elwood triumphed in the 200 individual medley and 100 butterfly, and Paige Schiffer sprinted to wins in the 50 and 100 freestyle.

Southridge boys basketball

The Skyhawks tipped Beaverton 82-81 in a Metro League thriller at Beaverton High School. Senior Dante Scott came up with the winning basket for Southridge, scoring on a layup off an assist from senior Carter Fortune, coming with two seconds left. The Skyhawks moved to 2-0 in Metro League play and 14-1 overall.

Sunset girls skiing

The Apollos raced to victory at the Metro League season-opening slalom event at Mt. Hood Meadows. Sunset claimed first place with a team time of 3 minutes, 31.50 seconds. Jesuit finished in second place with a mark of 3:34.74. Claire McCorkle helped lead the Apollos to the victory, as she finished in second place in the individual results with her two-run time of 1:05.27

Sweet Home girls wrestling

The Huskies claimed the crown at the Harrisburg All Girls tournament at Harrisburg High School. Sweet Home triumphed at the 10-team event with 142 points. Harrisburg was second with 88. The Huskies had three individual tournament champions in Riley Watkins (125 pounds), Lydia Wright (130) and Alyssa Peterson (190).

Sutherlin girls basketball

The Bulldogs recorded a 52-19 win at Brookings-Harbor in a Far West League game, giving Coach Josh Grotting his 500th coaching victory. Junior forward Addyson Clark had 23 points for Sutherlin, which improved to 6-0 in league play and 15-1 overall.

Tillamook wrestling

The Cheesemakers swept Astoria, winning 57-21, and Seaside, topping the Seagulls by a 78-4 margin, in a Class 4A Special District 1 double dual match at Tillamook High School. Bryce Haltiner, at 113 pounds, won both of his matches by fall.

Umpqua Valley Christian girls basketball

The Monarchs recorded a 66-20 victory at Glendale and triumphed 57-25 over Powers in Skyline League play to run their win streak to 13 games. The team moved to 6-0 in league play and 16-2 overall. Junior guard Kendyl Elias had 20 points and 10 rebounds in the win against Powers.

Valley Catholic boys basketball

The Valiants topped Westside Christian 52-42 in a Lewis & Clark League showdown at Westside Christian High School. Valley Catholic claimed sole possession of first place in the league standings at 4-0 (12-3 overall). Westside Christian moved to 4-1 in league play and 12-4 overall. Senior center Kellen Kinder had seven points, 11 rebounds, a block, a steal and an assist.

West Salem boys basketball

The Titans downed McNary 67-64 and topped Sprague 66-56 in Central Valley Conference games at West Salem High School to claim sole possession of first place in the conference standings at 4-0 (13-2 overall). Senior Jackson Leach had 20 points and eight assists for the Titans in the win over McNary, and senior Phillip Goodrich scored 18 points in the victory against Sprague.
