State College wins second straight with voctory over Central Dauphin

Eddie Corkery threw for 217 yards for the Little Lions in the win

State College won its second game in a row with a 31-13 win over Central Dauphin on Friday night.

State College, the No. 15 team in this week’s SBLive Pennsylvania Power 25, stifled the Central Dauphin passing game by picking off three passes, including one returned for a touchdown by Robert Strayer in the third quarter.

Quarterback Eddie Corkery completed 23-of-29 passes for 217 yards and a touchdown with Ty Salazer hauling in 10 of those passes for 113 yards. The touchdown pass was a 5-yarder to Michael Gaul in the second quarter to break a 7-7 tie and led to 24 unanswered points for the Little Lions.

Running back D’Antae Sheffey ran for only 51 yards on 20 carries for State College, but found the end zone twice.
