The state of Oregon has produced several high-quality offensive linemen in recent years, but there's a perceived dip in the talent up front in the 2023 recruiting cycle.

Mountainside High School (Oregon) offensive tackle Kevin Cassidy is hoping to change that perception.

The 6-foot-6 athlete has added 20 pounds to his frame to get to 280, and is beginning to hear from schools from both the FCS and FBS level.

That body transformation has Cassidy eager to re-introduce himself to college coaches as a stronger, more polished lineman.

"My body has changed so much even since the season, so I am excited to show what I can do," he said. "I’ve had multiple Pac-12 schools show interest, and I think they are waiting to see me in person. I can’t wait to play my senior year."

Cassidy recently took an unofficial visit to Oregon State and was impressed by what the Beavers are becoming under head coach Jonathan Smith and offensive line coach Jim Michalczik

"My dad and I were very impressed with Coach M and his coaching style," he said,. "I can see myself fitting in well with his scheme."

Next up for Cassidy are trips to Stanford and California.

While he hasn't yet picked up his first offer, the Mountainside big man should rake some in before his recruitment comes to a close.
